Judge's comments: What I loved about this story is how different it is from anything else I've read in this genre. Beautifully descriptive and a little bit haunting, it's definitely a book worth reading.

Judge's Comments: I loved this twist on a classic Shakespearean tale. The author pays homage to the original work while also very much making it their own. Writing Craft is on point! Attention to detail is paid, but not so much that the reader is drowning in it. Excellent vocabulary (I had to look up imbroglio, and that impressed me.) Bonus points for the clever play on words in the title :)

Judge's comments!: I really, really enjoyed this story. I found myself reading further ahead than I had originally intended just because I wanted to know what happened next. (I fully intend to keep reading too!) Both main characters feel believable. Story pacing is perfect, moving the reader along at a comfortable clip. (Not so fast it's jumpy, not so slow it's boring.) Good grammar and writing technique. I'll be keeping an eye on this author.
