Rules And Information For Judges!

These rules are for people who want to be JUDGES! Before filling out the judges form please make sure you read each of these rules. <3 Thank you. 

1. Only sign up if you know you can judge. I understand fully that things come up in life, personal things, stressful things, trust me I know. All I ask is that you don't randomly just stop responding to me. If you sign up to be a judge and realize you can't for whatever reason, please TELL ME! it leaves me confused and scrambling if I just get silence from you, and you don't tell me what's going on. If possible, please make sure you tell me early on in the contest. 

2. You have to accept LGBT. I allow LGBT in ALL genres of this awards. So if you want to judge you'll need to be aware that some stories may contain LGBT novels and they cannot be judged unfairly for that reason. 

3: Proof. Please put in this phrase as the password. Part Of The Chaos Crew.

4: Each genre will have 30 entries, you will need to read at least five chapters from each. You will have a month to do this, you may have more time if you need it. I suggest reading the entries as they are announced, and not waiting until the entries finally close. This way you can get ahead of everything. 

Now for some information. Here are things to look at while judging the novels! I understand everyone judges differently, so if you have your own way of judging a story please run it past me in Private Messages. 

Novel Title: Does it fit the story? Is it original? Does it catch your attention?

Setting: I think we all know what setting is. How well is the setting of the novel developed? 

Character Development: How do the characters in the novel change? how do they grow? What do they experience? 

Story Pacing: Do things move at a good speed? or are things too slow? too rushed? 

Novel Cover: I don't usually base a story off of a cover, since my vision isn't good and images aren't my thing, but every time I leave it out judges ask about it. So yes, You can look at the cover of the novel, how unique is it? 

Diction: The authors word choice, how things are decides, whether that be how the characters are feeling/thinking, or describing what's happening in the story.
