"Waiting in a car

Waiting for a ride in the dark

The night city grows

Look and see her eyes, they glow.

...

Waiting for a roar

Looking at the mutating skyline

The city is my church

It wraps me in its sparkling twilight..."

Well, that's pretty much Book 2.

It's still stupid. And I'm still writing it. And it's still an honor when you read it.

I don't like being repetitive, but I think it's important that I thank you again for sticking around this long. I know I said all that stuff above in the last author's note. At least last time there were a few Cara Salimando lyrics. Well, the only thing that's changed since then are the lyrics. And the artist, of course. M83 is frickin' awesome. And Midnight City has the best saxophone solo I've ever heard.

Oh, I promised a hint on the whole 'three plotlines' thing if nobody had figured it out. Well, here you go:

Oddities aren't necessarily mistakes.

That should be enough information, right? We're the smartest creatures on Earth... we can handle a riddle. I hope you don't mind my cryptic word choice. It's cocky, I know. There will be more information with Book 3, if you're still stuck. In fact, Book 3 should provide the biggest hint yet.

Once again, and always, I thank you for your time and attention. I appreciate every bit of it.

See you next time!

Guadalagakimo, humans.
