A/N: Sorry this took so long to get out! I linked the song because it's mentioned in the chapter and would make more sense if you listen to it while reading. Hope everyone enjoys it :)

Instant regret.

That's the only thing I felt as I stood on the set of the lyric video for 'Want You Back'.

I was dressed rather casually for filming, in my opinion: skinny jeans, flowy tank top and platform stilettos. Luke was the only other person dressed for filming, the other boys not appearing in the video.

"Alright people, we're going to start filming in five minutes! Luke, Jasmine - you guys all set? Okay, good. Five minutes people!" The director called, crew members running around preparing for shooting.

Luke walked up to me, dressed in black skinny jeans and a white, floral button up. "You feeling okay?"

I stiffened and crossed my arms over my chest. "Why pretend to care about how I feel?"

"Because I do care about you."

"You don't care about people that you cheat on."

He didn't respond for a moment, and I took the opportunity to stalk away. "You look stunning," he called.

The director called the two of us to set - it was nothing fancy: a dark, empty room lit up with various lighting - red, white, green and purple. The director explained that they would have to shoot some shots several times so as to catch snippets with the different lightings, meaning the process would take even longer. Fucking fantastic.

But I was a professional, so I swallowed my discomfort and annoyance and put my show-face on.

The premise of the video was rather simple, seeing as it was only a lyric video. Luke would be singing to my character, who would spend the majority of the video teasing and taunting him. The choreography of the video was supposed to mimic intimacy, and lots of it. Unfortunately, meaning that I would have to be close to him...Fuck my life.

"Alright, and take one!" The director called, "action!"

The music began playing in the background, loud enough that Luke could mouth along to the lyrics easily. The first verse began - Luke and I were standing close, his head lowered and eyelids heavy. My character smiled shyly, tilting her head away from Luke as he sang to her, his hot breath fanning across my cheek and I resisted the urge to inhale - he always smelled so good, like mint.

The beat picked up as the chorus started as the lighting shifted from white to red. My character whirled away from Luke, backing away while gazing at him, smiling flirtily. 'No matter where I go,' he mouthed to my character.

'I'm always gonna want you back,' I mouthed back as he approached me, and he smirked. He wrapped his arms around me, caging me in his embrace.

'No matter how long you're gone,' he sang quietly, sounding out of breath.

I pressed up against him, grinning. 'I'm always gonna want you back.'

'I know, you know, I will never get over you,' he murmured against the skin of my neck. 'No matter where I go, I'm always gonna want you back.'

I broke away from his embrace, twirling around to face him again as the second verse began, green lighting replacing the red.

"I remember the freckles on your back, and the way I used to make you laugh," he whispered to me, pressing me up against a wall. "Cause you know every morning I wake up, yeah I still reach for you."

Despite myself, I couldn't help but wonder if there was some underlying truthfulness to the lyrics.

With Luke's forearms on either side of my head, he leaned down, head level with mine. My eyes darted between his eyes and his lips and I subconsciously bit my lip, my palms on his chest. "I remember the roses on your shirt, when you told me this will never work," he murmured. "You know even when I say I've moved on."
