Cloudpaw's sight ~ COMPLETED ~ A Warrior's Fanfic

Chapter Two

   "Please!"

  Jumpingkit and Cloudkit begged. Whiteblaze ignored them and continued to talk to Goldenpaw about her training.

   "I'm nursing a litter. How am I supposed to train?" She spat. Whiteblaze nodded. "Yes I get that but -"

  "Please Whiteblaze!" Jumpingkit pled. "We wanna be apprentices. We don't wanna be kits forever. We're almost as big as Sunpaw."

   Whiteblaze sighed with iteration high in his voice. "Would you two please go away." He said with clenched jaws.

  Cloudkit frowned. They were going to be apprentices. "Hey Junipersmudge! Please come here!" Whiteblaze called. Junipersmudge ran over to them. The elder was way too young to be an elder but he had an accident that made him go blind in one eye.

   He became more and more paranoid that warriors could get him on his blind side so he asked could he become an elder.

   Junipersmudge bounded to them. "Yeah?" He asked sitting down. Cloudkit could see his blind eye. It was white where his pupil should be and it wondered off.

   "Why are you staring at me?" Junipersmudge laughed. Cloudkit hadn't noticed she was staring so intensely at his eye. Her pelt grew hot in embarrassment. "I was. . . uh. . ." she trailed off and looked at her paws.
   He bent down and licked her cheek. "Don't get embarrassed."

   The lick had made her blush. (Yes I know they're cats ;D). She stared away and noticed Fireflame was watching them with narrowed eyes. He caught her gaze and looked away.

   "Please take these kits some where else please." Whiteblaze pled to Junipersmudge. "Why won't you just let 'em be apprentices? They're old enough. They should have been apprentices four moons ago."

   Whiteblaze snarled at him.
  "I can't LOSE them like I did my mate. She became a warrior and she died. I need them to be protected." He hissed.

   "Keeping us kits is not protecting us." Jumpingkit retorted.

    "Okay fine. They can be apprentices. Let them get hurt. Hushstar!" He called.

   Cloudkit kit smiled. She looked up at Junipersmudge. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" She cried shoving her head in his chest and purring.

  "You're welcome." He mewed. He licked her ears and walked away. Her pelt tingled with excitement.

     They were going to be apprentices!
