Back to my original cat. ;)
It was hours later and the sun rimmed the sky. Cloudpaw and Jumpingpaw had just returned from exploring the territory. Jumpingpaw yawned. "You're already tired?" Cloudpaw chuckled.
Jumpingpaw looked at her then nodded. "Yeah. I guess I am too." Cloudpaw paused to yawn. She hadn't realized how truly tired she was. Jumpingpaw closed her eyes for a second. She fell asleep on her paws!
She rocked side to side and she was about to fall. Cloudpaw jumped and tried to catch her sister.
But Sunpaw was faster. He caught her before she tumbled. "Whoa. She's exhausted." He chuckled. Cloudpaw and Sunpaw led sleeping Jumpingpaw to the apprentice den. The dropped her on a Moss bed.
Sunpaw was purring. "Ah. I never really knew an apprentice to fall asleep on her paws." He giggled. Sunpaw looked at Jumpingpaw with an affection.
'Oh no you don't! 'She screamed in her mind. 'Don't start hitting on my sister!'
Sunpaw gave her a smile. "Well I'm off to sleep. Smell you later."
"Smell me. . ." she trailed off. It was a trick. They were using their senses.
"Taste you later." She said.He gave her a confused look and layed down on his Moss bed. 'Oh. I need to sleep. ' she thought. She layed in her Moss and the dream began.
~
Cloudpaw was confused. She was an actual cloud. She was floating high in the sky peaceful and quiet. She was floating across a valley. 'Thunder path.'she thought once she floated over the black ground.A Raven was in flight above the road.
It's wings waved gently. The black bird with a purple tent cocked its head back and cawed. It was trying to warn her of something. But she couldn't understand the birds language. She couldn't understand. . .
Then, the sun pushed her aside and glared down at the Raven. The poor bird cawed out and the wings snapped.
"No!" She cried. The sun wasn't that strong to break wings. "No!"She couldn't move.
She watched as the bird fell on the road. Then, a monster came. "No move!" She cried. But she was too far away. The bird couldn't hear her.
The bird cocked its head and looked at the sun.
Crunch.
The Raven was dead. Cloudpaw started sobbing. She could have blocked the sun. She could have saved that Raven. She was just too slow.
Then, a soft voice whispered in her ear.
"The Raven will die because of the sun's ray. Unless, the cloud can block the sun. '
~
Cloudpaw jerked awake. She was terrified. The Raven! The Raven. . . what?
Her dream was slipping away. It was a distant memory. What had happened. She shrugged unsure what she was afraid of.
Jumpingpaw was standing over her with Sunpaw at her side. "Chill. You were mewling. We woke you. Anyway, it's time for training."
Cloudpaw arose.
Then,
Bam!
The dream slapped her across the face. 'The Raven will die because of the sun's rays unless the cloud can block the sun.'
