"Wow, what happened, Kenma?" Kuroo panicked, but Kenma didn't let go or even move, it felt as if he was glued to the other.
Kuroo stood in the doorway awkwardly for a couple of minutes before getting tired, so he did what any rational being would do and picked Kenma up. He carried the now slightly confused boy to the couch, then went back to close the door because the mosquitoes were getting in.
What a caring fella.
Kenma just sat there like a statue, completely motionless and emotionless (a/n omg these words, fuck off English language). The other decided to somehow try and console him? Yes, that question mark is supposed to be there, because since when does making a bowl of ramen equal consolation.
Kuroo sat down in front of Kenma, on the floor, and sighed loudly. "So, what's going on? Did someone hurt you?"
Kenma stared at the hot bowl of ramen for a bit before finally opening his mouth. "No.. everything is fine"
"Well clearly everything is not fine! Stop acting like an annoying girlfriend and tell me what's wrong" Kuroo slammed his fist on the coffee table.
"Kuroo, really..it's fine" Kenma said right before he wiped his tears.
Kuroo inhaled deeply before slamming both of his fists on the table. "What is it damnit?! I'm worried about your ass so you better tell me!"
Kenma stared at him in disbelief for a second before saying something Kuroo did not expect. "Is my ass the only thing you care about?"
"Fucking, oh dear Lucifer help me keep calm..." Kuroo mumbled as he clenched his fists. "Kenma... just tell me"
"It's not that imporant.... I just ....." Kenma's lip started trembling again. For some reason, Kuroo felt his heart ache at the sight of this. "I lost my only friend"
"Wha--? Kenma, I'm so sorry" Kuroo was a bit taken aback. However, what he noticed next shocked him a little bit. It looked like Kenma was crying, but his eyes were so empty as if he had lost all hope already. Like dead fish's eyes.
"It's fine, I should have known he'd die, he was reckless after all. It's just sad... he was so young" Kenma said quietly. Reckless equals rebellious, right? Maybe Kuroo could do something, pass a message maybe.
Kuroo caught himself thinking about how to make Kenma happier and froze. He shouldn't be thinking about that. He was getting too attached to this one human. What was so special about him anyway? Dyed hair, small body, slightly tanned skin, weirdly shaped eyes and very soft hands, peach colored lips..
No, no, no! Too attached!
"What was their name?" Kuroo asked, maybe their sudden death was one of the reapers works.
"Hinata Shoyo, the brighest person you'd ever meet. A sunshine, who was just a bit too reckless and adventurous" it almost seemed like Kenma smiled for a moment there.
There wasn't much talk after it, Kenma fell asleep shortly after and Kuroo was left to watch over him. He sat there thinking about just how different Kenma was before he went to sleep and now.
Before he was a little bit witty, goofy and sarcastic. Even so, he could still feel the emptiness in him. Now, it almost felt like Kenma was just a body with no soul.
Kuroo looked at him sleeping, he looked so peaceful. This was the perfect time to kill him, but he didn't feel like it. As a matter of fact, lately he didn't even want to think about how to kill him.
After a couple of minutes he decided to go down to hell and find that Shoyo kid. One of the reapers had to do the job.
Surprisingly, the first being he saw was Akaashi who had thrown his scythe across the room.
"Someone's mad" Kuroo mumbled to himself, but Akaashi caught on and quickly turned to him.
"That damned Bokuto guy is making me so mad. He thinks that I'm a joke, I'm seriously gonna kill him so painfully!" Akaashi exclaimed.
"Cool... hey, where can I find the documents for souls that have been taken?" Kuroo asked, Akaashi raised an eyebrow before pointing at the red door.
It had "T.Satori" written on it.
"Don't tell me that jackass is the one in charge" Kuroo sighed loudly. Without even listening to what the other had to say he walked towards the door.
Three knocks and the door opened by themselves.
"私のオフィスにようこそ。私の客であって私の親愛なる黒尾 " the red-haired guy spoke as he turned to Kuroo on his spinning chair.
"Say what now?" Kuroo asked.
"How can I help you, my dear?" Tendou smiled before crossing his arms in front of his chest.
"Could you tell me who took Shoyo Hinata's soul?" Kuroo asked, he didn't want to stay in one place with Tendou for too long since he tends to get all touchy.
"Hinata Shoyo..... oh, here it is!" Tendou exclaimed as he took out a casefile. "That would be our newbie, Kageyama Tobio"
"Thanks, and please greet whoever comes in in the universal hell language and not our mother tongue, you mongrel" Kuroo gave Tendou a small smile and immediately left the office room.
Kageyama Tobio, huh? A newbie to reapers, poor boy had to take up special scythe training.
"Let's find Tobio and then Shoyo... Why am I doing these things for you, Kenma..."
