Chapter 4

"Run $tarr run!" screamed Colleen.

Colleen pulled my arm as we ran. I felt my heart breaking with every distant spell I heard from the evil people and my parents.

"Help me lock the fourth floor door!" Dream yelled.

We all grabbed the locks and locked them.

As we ran up to the fifth floor door, I heard footsteps walking on the rug behind us. I saw Colleen and Clover turn around.

Dream grabbed me and pulled me towards the door so I could help her open it.

"Don't get any closer or I will throw that vase at your face!" Clover said angrily.

"And I'll dodge it," said a voice behind us.

Dream showed me the keys that unlock the locks on the fifth floor. "That will protect us," I whispered staring at it.

I heard the sound of the vase crashing to the floor. I turned around.

"You missed," the man in front of us said laughing.

Colleen and Clover gave each other an unsure look.

He walked towards us.

The shaking feeling overwhelmed me. I slowly grabbed my wand from my pocket. I need a spell. Anything to give Dream enough time to unlock the door.

"ICE CREAM MAY GIVE YOU BRAIN FREEZE, SO LETS SEE IF IT MAKES YOU'RE FEET FREEZE! AMA LEYA DO!" I screamed and saw my wand glow. Then a ray of light charged towards the man's feet.

Dream started unlocking all the locks.

"Hurry!" I screamed.

I heard the click of the locks. It opened. The forbidden fifth floor door opened.

I was last to run in the door. I slammed it hard behind me.

"Lock it hurry!" Dream screamed.

Clover, Colleen, I locked all of the locks on the door.

I gasped at what I saw. "What is all of this?" I said in awe.

I walked up the steps to the middle of the witch wardrobe heaven.

"It has our names on the racks," confirmed Clover.

I looked for the rack that said $tarr. There was a note in Mom's handwriting. I couldn't believe it. They knew this day would happen. I looked at the note again. Slowly each of the sentences my Mom wrote made sense.

Dear $tarr,

If you are reading this, then you have found the answers to your wonders of the fifth floor. That also means you and your sisters are running away. Your sisters each got a letter. Each letter has one thing in common. Where you need to go. Go as far as you can in the woods. Go as far as you can. Never look for us. We will find you. You four are in danger. They will never stop trying to kill you. We will be held against our will until they find you. Somebody is on their way to save us. Don't you worry $tarr. We will see each other again. Listen to Clover, Colleen, and Dream. Good luck.
