It was early in the morning, too early. An alarm clock blared throughout a small trailer. Due to nobody turning it off, it kept going for a good 5 minutes.

"Kai I swear to fucking god if you don't turn that alarm clock off I will slit the tires on your motorcycle." A teen hissed from the bed in the middle of the small room, towards me a lump on the floor.

"You're closer." 'Kai' shouted back, throwing a pillow to the girl on the bed. They both threw pillows back and forth until Kai slammed her hand down on the snooze button.

The action shut the alarm clock off, probably breaking it in the process. "Toni we got to get up." Kai sighed.

When she heard her name, Toni rolled over and glared at the brown haired girl, "Why exactly?" She questioned.

Kai glanced over at the alarm clock and back at Toni, "It's 7:30." That seemed to be enough to wake up the purple haired teen as she shot up and threw the bathroom door open, closing it behind her.

Kai chuckled and sat up and grabbed the bag she had brought with her to Toni's trailer. She grabbed her clothes from her bag as Toni walked out of the bathroom changed and fresh out of the shower.

Kai walked into the still steaming bathroom to take quick shower and changing.

She hurriedly blowdried her hair and brushed it before grabbing her small bag, an apple, and her leather jacket. "Ready?" Toni asked gathering her things as well.

Kai nodded and pushed the door of Toni's trailer open, rushing down the wooden stairs. Kai smirked as she revved the engine of her motorcycle. Who needs a helmet? She thought as she rode passed the sign that read

Sunnyside Trailer Park

It wasn't long before the best friends to reach Southside High, or more commonly known as hell. As they got through the metal detectors and to their lockers Toni turned to face Kai. "There's a new kid, son of FP Jones coming today, wanna help me show him around?" She offered.

Kai shrugged "Might as well, I've got nothing better to do here."

They made their way back up to the metal detectors to wait for the new kid. A boy with black hair and a crown beanie stepped through the machine making it go off, "It's the pins in my hat." He explained.

The man looked at him and responded in a not so pleasant manner "Take it off, go again" The boy huffed but complied, throwing his hat into one of the plastic trays and going through the detector again. This time successfully.

"Forsythe Pendleton Jones III." Toni smirked taking a quick photo of him with the camera dangling form around her neck.

"It's Jughead actually." He replied, correcting Toni.

"I'm Toni Topaz." She greeted. "And that's Kai Jackson." Toni motions towards Kai who was creepily grinning at the boy.

"We were supposed to give you the full animatronic tour, but some robots went insane and started killing the guests, so, we'll just wing it." Toni chuckled before starting down the hallway.

"Classrooms don't have WiFi and bathrooms don't have doors." Toni listed unconcerned as they moved down the stairs of the school.

However there was only one thing Jughead seemed to be worried about, "What about school paper? The Red and Black?" He asked, a small bit of hope shining in his eyes.

"It no longer exists. Censorship? Budget cuts? Take your pick." Kai replied looking over to the side, watching as the light diminished from his eyes.

"To your right, you'll find a glimpse a jingle-jangle Being consumed in its natural habitat." Toni chimed in, gesturing over to a group a people holding little sticks in their hands.

"I'm sorry, 'Jingle-Jangle'." Jughead questioned, both confused and concerned.

"This place is crawling with The JJ. A highly addictive total gutter drug." Kai explained disgusted "So let's not touch that."

"Jingle-Jingle fascinating." Jughead muttered. After walking a little farther the trio reached the cafeteria. "Here in the cafetorium, Ghoulies sit over there. Rival gang, drug dealers, street racers, rumors of cannibalism." Toni says pointing out each section.

"Don't ask." Kai chuckled, noticing the look of confusion painting Jughead's features.

"And us three sit over there." Kai smiled, pointing towards a table in front of them, "With the Serpents."

"Wait both of you are Southside Serpents?" Jughead questioned surprised.

Kai rolled her eyes there's totally not a huge ass logo on the back of my jacket that says 'Southside Serpents' with a fucking snake, she thought annoyed. "Why do you think we volunteered to give you a tour?" Toni sighed. That's a nicer way to put it. "Let's go."

Jughead stopped and looked at Toni then back at Kai, "Actually I'm gonna sit alone. Just, you know, finish my book and brood."

Kai stared at him, "Hold on, I'm confused. Aren't you like a Serpent by blood? The son of FP Jones?"

"Yeah. So I self identify as a loner not a pack animal. I'm just gonna put my head down and try to get through, this okay?" He concluded, making Kai roll her eyes.

"Hey, you wanna get through this, you should hang with the Serpents. If the Ghoulies get a whiff that you're alone, or vulnerable, they'll make you their bitch faster than you can say American History X." Toni warned heading over to the Serpent table with Kai at her side.

Fangs smirked "How are my two favorite gals?" Kai and Toni rolled their eyes turning their gazes to the other Serpents. "What did I do?" Fangs complained making Kai chuckle.

"They want me that's why." A cocky voice said from behind her. "In your dreams Sweet Pea." Toni scoffed crossing her arms over her chest "But Kai on the other hand." She said nudging her friend.

Kai rolled her eyes again for the 5th time today, "No thanks." She heard Toni mutter something under her breath that she couldn't quite make out.

"I guess I should make it to class at least for attendance." Toni huffed and stood up along with Sweet Pea and Fangs.

"To class we go." Kai muttered, joining her group of friends and walking out the doors and into the hallways.
