"Me and my group, wanna challenge you to a race." The trio stood back in Malachai's house, confronting him with the idea of the street race.

Malachai stood listening, still in his skull covered robe. "If we win, Serpents remain autonomous and you quit dealing at Southside High." Jughead stated pointing at the Ghoulie.

Malachai scoffed, "And if we win?"

Kai glared at Malachai harshly, "We fold, and you will continue polluting the Southside with your little straws of death." She spat.

Malachai chuckled, "So the mighty Serpent Prince and Princess have some stones, but not much else." Kai muttered a string of insults under her breath, still glaring at the Ghoulie. "So unless your highnesses wants to put some of Daddy's territory out of the table, I got no reason to agree to this race."

Before anyone form the trio could respond, the door behind them burst open. "They were following me, tried to get in the garage." The boys turned, surprised.

"Veronica?"

"Betty?"

The two girls seemed to be as shocked as the boys were.

"Archie?"

"Jughead?"

Kai glanced between the four people, "What are you doing here?" The five said in unison.

Malachai stepped up, pissed. "So, these are your bitches?"

Veronica crossed her arms over her chest, "I beg your misogynistic pardon?" She spat, agitated.

Malachai turned back to the boys and Kai, "Why don't you take your skanks, and get the hell out of here."

He added even more, "Until you make me a better offer, they'll be no race."

In a desperate attempt to save the deal, Kai cut in. "If you win, we'll give you the Whyte Wyrm." Archie turned to her as if she had down three heads, "You can expand your drug-dealing horizons, and upgrade out of this literal hellhole."

Even with one of the Serpents most prized possession on the table, the Ghoulie still wasn't happy with the deal.

"We'll take the Whyrm and Sunnyside Trailer Park." The girls and the back glanced at each other, while Archie and Jughead were trying to have a silent conversation with their eyes.

Kai stepped towards Malachai and stick out her hand, "Deal."

____________

After the meeting with Malachai, they all went their different ways. Jughead disappeared with Betty and god knows where Veronica and Archie went off to.

Kai went back to her trailer, she still needed to sort out with her dad, what they were going to do about going to court. As soon as she entered her home, she noticed her dad sitting down with a lawyer. Kai sighed before the closing the door behind her.

Her dad looked up from the papers littering their dining room table, "Kai come sit down will you?" Kai nodded pulling a chair to the table so she could sit.

The lawyer grinned sticking out his hand, "I'm James Davis, you must be Daniel's daughter." Kai hesitantly shook the males hand, but stayed silent.

After he retracted his hand, James turned back to Daniel. "As I was saying, it's not looking too good for you right now."

Daniel rubbed his eyes sighing, "I know I know, I just got out of jail and I'm in a gang, it's not looking very pretty."

James read through one of the many documents, "What Darci is arguing on about is the care of Kai, so how is life in Riverdale going for you?"

Kai chuckled, "I love it here on the Southside." She leaned back into her chair, "I have a great group of friends, a possible boyfriend, and my dad is back from jail. Is there even a better way for me to live?"

Daniel turned to Kai, confused. "Boyfriend?" Kai shot him a look saying, not now.

He put his hands up in surrender and turned back to James. "As much as I hate to ask, is there drugs included anywhere in your life?"

Kai scoffed, "Never, I refuse to ever touch that stuff."

James chuckled, "Good to hear." This went on for a few more minutes, James would ask questions about her life and way of living, then she would answer them as truthfully as she could.

"Last question, how does being in the Serpents affect your life?"

Kai thought for a moment, "It's given me the rest of the family and childhood I never had." She smiled, "I have four best friends, FP who is like another father figure, and even a couple mother alike figures appear when I need them."

James collected all of the papers off of the table and carefully placed them into his black briefcase. "That's all, I'll be seeing you guys in court."

Before he left, James slid his business card across the table towards a Kai. He shrugged, "Just incase you guys need to contact me at anytime."

Kai nodded, placing the card in her jacket pocket. "Noted." He waved before exiting the trailer. As Kai stood up and made her way to her room she heard her father ask, "Boyfriend? Really?"

Kai rolled her eyes, "Night dad."
