No Breaks

Again, I wake up to the scent of burning fish, my eyes flutter open to see Alyx tending to a small fire and him cleaning the blades on his trident.
"What are you doing up this early?" I ask.
"Could ask you the same question" he retaliates. I roll my eyes and walk over to the fire.
"Won't this draw attention to us?" I ask.
"No" he says. "We are up on the ridge of the arena and winds blowing east, cornucopia is to the west and Adam, Glint and Breck will most likely be there" he says pointing towards the smoke.
"What if their not at the cornucopia? What if their headed this way right now?" I ask anxiously.
"Well atleast we will be prepared" he says.
"You'd be right about that" says a voice from behind me. I feel my heart drop....Glint
I get up and look her straight into her evil eyes full of determination, determined to kill Alyx and I; speaking of him I turn to meet his gaze and he seems calm but at the same time he wears a face.... of guilt. What could he possibly feel so guilty about? That's when I see them Breck and Adam walking towards us behind Alyx.

"WATCH OUT!" I say Pointing to Breck and Adam. But Alyx, he doesn't turn to see them, it's as if he knew they were coming, the thought hits me as the same time as my heart drops: Alyx is working with them. I drop my arms to my side and I start breathing heavily, staring at Alyx with such hatred and fury, TO HELL with him being my brother, no one does me dirty like that, even if he does win everyone back in district four will burn him at the stake.
"I'm sorry" he says. "But they were right it is every man for himself out here and being brother and sister doesn't grant you immunity from anything. And I want to go home even if it means you have to go".

I can't believe this he's actually choosing his survival over everyone else's no matter the cost. Fired up I can't control myself I spin around and toss one of my last kunais at Glint, it pierces her thigh and she screams I also notice she's gathered a long silver sword. Just what I need, I make a run for it and all of them pursue me shouting and screaming.
"We're going to get you!" Shouts Adam. I don't look back I just keep going and going, my chest starts to hurt now as each breath delivers a burning pain through my lungs, I really should've done some laps at the beach with frostine when I had the chance since I do swim a lot at home my legs and arm muscles are amazing and work me wonders I just hope they don't let me down now.
"Come back here!" I hear Glint call out, as she says this an arrow comes rushing pass me and flys into the distance in front. I'm running and running until the ground vibrates so violently it throws me off my course destroying my momentum and I'm flying a few hundred yards. I hit the ground on my stomach hard, I lay there trying to collect the wind that had been knocked out of me, that's when I notice it the arena borders closing in destroying everything. The thought hits me: the game makers are pulling us together for the big finale.
Crap! This is not good I get back up on my feet and start running to the cornucopia, I'm one hundred percent sure they are forcing us at the cornucopia where there is a guaranteed bloodbath and everyone can see everything that happens.

As branches cut my face and re open the wound where the dart from district elevens girl hit. As the ground shakes violently and trees come crashing down everywhere, in my vision I see someone come into view about twenty metres to my left. I can tell it's a boy because I can hear his panting, he turns back to look behind him and he sees me aswell we make eye contact for a second now I know it's the boy from 10, he keeps looking back at me now constantly I'm just about to launch a knife at him but a massive tree comes down crushing him.
BOOM!

While I'm running I see something just on the border of my sight. I shake my head thinking it's nothing and I keep running to the cornucopia. That's when it happens I smack into someone, we both fall to the ground rolling; once we've gotten up we look at eachother it's the girl from 13. I don't know what to do but the words come out of my mouth before I can stop them.
"Allies?" I ask.
"Sure" she says with relief.
A tree crashes down behind us and that's our cue to start running again. She's a little faster than me though and she takes the lead, I'm starting to slow down now she takes note of this and grabs my arm and pulls me forward, yes thank you whatever your name is. We keep running and running and that's when the plain comes into view, the cornucopia seems to be sinking under its own weight into a ditch along with the rest of the supplies, once it's out of view the ditch starts to go up in flames, this is it.
