The 110th Hunger Games

The Finale

We both hop onto the plain looking in every direction. The sky has turned almost cloudy and dark but is being illuminated by the fire pit in the middle, I realise I've been a lot lighter than usual. Oh crap my backpack with almost everything in it, I check over my supplies now and I have:
My last remaining kunai
My three knives
And my night vision sunglasses with one of the lenses have been smashed.
I look over to see what my ally has and she has three Molotov's, a smoke bomb and a dagger.
"You know you never told me your name" I say staring at her face, her face is all dirty with cuts and bruises and one of her brown eyes is red she must have some kind of infection.
"Alesha" she replies, "and what about you?"
"Saggitaria" I reply.
She smiles but it's quickly cut of by the sound of a cannon.
"Who do you think that was?" Alesha asks.
"I'm not too sure but I'm certain it was one of my former career mates" I say scanning the woods over and over again.
"That's good then" she says. I smile but that's when I see them, Alyx, Glint and Breck all there coughing and panting, laying on the grass like fishes out of water. Adam isn't with them, it takes me seconds to realise that the cannon must've belonged to him.
"Let's go finish them" says Alesha.
"Yeah in a second but we need to work out a plan since we are out numbered by one person" I say.
"Here's what I suggest" she says, "one of us takes on the girl from 1 and the boy from 4, while the other one takes on the boy from 2, or we can weaken the boy from 2, then kill the other two from 1 and 4 then we can finish the boy from 2 and whatever happens after that happens".
I don't like either of her plans but it's not like we have any other options out here.
"Ok" I say letting out a big breath. "Let's do this".
Alesha takes the lead charging to them dagger raised above her head and smoke bomb at the ready, I follow her with two of my knives in each of my hands, they all get up and ready for a bloodbath of the century and so it begins I charge at Breck and to my surprise he's gotten a sledgehammer he swings it at me but I slide under his legs and I cut so deep into his thigh I can almost hear it grind against his bones. He screams and drops to the ground I get up and start to run over to Alesha who is dodging Alyxs trident and trying to get some hits on him with her dagger, I'm just about to toss my knife into the back of Alyx's head but I'm tackled to the ground by someone; I roll them over and I even punch them in the nose which hurts my knuckles soo bad. It takes me seconds to realise Glint she looks at me, growling, her face all bloodied and her hair all messed up. I'm just about to throw another punch before she can punch me in the gut which hurts a lot more than it should, hurts enough for me to retreat back and formulate another attack.

I finally come up with one I run up to her and kick her onto her back which sends a horrible pain to where she punched me. Holy crap she punched me hard, she gets up and takes out her sword, she smiles then charges at me I twirl away and toss my last kunai in her direction; she makes a mistake by turning to me again to fast causing the kunai to go straight into her right eye.
"AHHHH! YOU IDIOT!"she screams falling to the ground holding her eye. Nice, two damaged one to go, I start to run over towards Alyx and Alesha again, enraged by his betrayal I run at him full force and sink my knife into his shoulder. He lets out a cry and knocks me square where Glint punched me which sends the most painful feeling I've ever felt, I'm knocked back near the fire pit.
Glint has gotten up again and started to charge at me, I get my hands ready and when she comes near me I punch her in the eye forcing the kunai in further. She screams and blindly throws punches, I grab her hand; she realises the mistake I made as soon as I have and she kicks me in the chest, coughing, I get up run at her and kick her has hard as I can into the fire pit. There's screams for a moment then a cannon, Glint has fallen in more ways than one. Now to help out Alesha.

I find her still dodging Alyx's trident.
BOOM!
Someone's died, but who? I look over to see Breck lying face down in a pool of his own blood; the hovercraft comes down and takes away Glints charred corpse and Brecks bloody body. It's down to the final three, me, my ally and my brother all fighting to the death. All the citizens of Panem are probably on the edge of their seats right now hanging onto every action that takes place and every word that's being said. I get my knife and sink it into Alyx's shoulder re freshening the wound again. He lets out a cry and slaps me across the mouth I spit out blood and even a tooth, enraged he then throws his trident down and knocks Alesha to the ground.

She try's to stab him with her dagger but he grabs it off her leaving her defenceless. While I'm on the ground spitting out blood he drags her over to me and puts the dagger in her hand.
"Kill her" he says to Alesha.
"Go to hell" she retaliates and she snatches her dagger back and stabs him just below his neck, he stumbles away.
"I need to do something, you wait here, okay?"
"Okay" says Alesha still catching her breath. I walk to Alyx who's choking on his own blood, as I'm walking each step sends a searing pain through my lower body, holding my abdomen and my knife in my right hand I walk up to Alyx who gets up and smiles.
"You sure are one tough son of a gun" he says blood dripping from his shoulder, Alesha's dagger still stuck just below his neck and above his heart.
"I try" I reply. "But this journey in the arena has been a long one and not an easy one."
"Amen to that" he laughs then coughs. "You can kill me now, I've lost, you've won,"
I smile and grip tightly onto my knife, I walk up to him slowly meeting him face to face, a evil grin slides onto his face.
"WATCH OUT"
I just have enough time to turn around before I feel it. A sharp blade digging into my abdomen making my wound worse. Enraged Alesha shoves me out of the way and with a battle cry and tears streaming down her face kicks Alyx into the fire pit.
BOOM!
Alyx is no more.
As the ten inch blade sticks in my stomach. I let my body crumble to the ground as it starts to hurt, Alesha catches me and my head is in her lap.
"Hey" she says "everything is going to be okay, I just want to say that we've only known eachother for a few hours and this is definitely a first a career wanting to team up with an outlier district, and thank you for that I hope the next life treats you better" she says as her tears fall down onto my face.
I can feel my final breath coming, I can see frostine in school now maybe having no idea that I'm laying here, dying, I've made it this far and that's the best I can do, sorrow hits me hard, my dad really thought I could win this thing and learn from it, learn that what we do for the capitols entertainment is how we survive but all I've learnt is that just because I'm a career doesn't mean I'm invincible.
"Thank you Alesha, tell your kids about me" I say staring up into Alesha's eyes, I can see the light, it's easy and welcoming, just when I'm slipping away I hear the faint sound of my cannon.
