No one's POV

It is currently 4:00am in a town where everything is quiet and at peace or so you would think if this was any 'normal' town, in fact there is a towns wide alarm going off as every citizen is awake and rushing around hurriedly. But why? What does this alarm signify? It signifies that the barrier surrounding Mt.Ebott has been broken and as such monsters will be descending from the mountain. But one citizen seems to be still asleep or so it seems. "mmm...five more minutes" she groans out tiredly as she sleepily reaches out to snooze her alarm clock, but the sound was still very prominent throughout her bedroom "ugh...why is it still so noisy..." she cracks open one eye to peeks at the time as it shows to be 4am and that her alarm was due for 3 hours later. This could mean one thing, one massively important thing that she waited many years for it to happen. "...HOLY SHIT! OH GOD IT'S HAPPENING TODAY?!!!! IT'S FINALLY HAPPENING TODAY!!!" she got so excited that she practically jumped out of her bed and wanted to run out of her room, but she realized that she was still wearing her pj's. She turns around so fast that she slips and falls down "ouch...".

~Meanwhile at the foot of the mountain~

Two human beings had just arrived and at closer inspection it's a young man with his grandfather, the young man himself looked very stressed and nervous while the grandfather was calm and seemingly prepared for what was about to happen. The young man was nervously pacing back and forth "what do i say? how should i greet them? what if they don't like me? or worse! they start to attack us!! oh god i should've woken her up...she would know what to do..." the grandfather gave the young man a reassuring pat on the back "we both know that she will be here in a few minutes. besides even without her, you will be just fine" and with that the young man calmed down as they both looked up at the starry night sky "your right she'll be here any minute and i'll try my best to take this meeting as seriously as possible". Not long has his words left his mouth or they could hear the sound of many footsteps behind them, the young man swallows and turns around slowly hoping it was the friend that they spoke about earlier. But as luck would have it, it was monster kind standing behind them 'why do i have such bad luck?' the young man thought to himself while the grandfather stood properly with a welcoming smile. Now that he gave them another glance, he was surprised to see that they consisted of various different monster species and that the ones guiding them down the mountain were two little children. The young man gave a concerned look towards his grandfather, but the grandfather just shrugged his shoulders indicating that perhaps this was a concern for another time. The monsters stop inches away from the two as the biggest, fluffiest but most intimidating monster steps forward with one of the children while the other fluffy looking monster holds the other child's hand as what seemed to be their own child's hand as well, but obviously she was more wary of this sudden meeting. The young man clears his throat as a way to get rid of his nerves before speaking "w-welcome to ebottown!" his voice cracked while he internally cursed at himself "my name is glenn the mayor of this town and this old man here is sam, he is my grandfather and former mayor of ebottown" the monsters looked surprised to be greeted this formally and with kindness while the one right in front of Glenn raised an eyebrow before speaking "my name is asgore, king of monsterkind. this here is frisk the human, savior and ambassador of monster kind". Sam and Glenn were surprised at this revelation, but had to shake it of for later as Glenn had to bend down to shake Frisk's hand "it is very nice to meet you frisk" afterwards he stood back up and looked upwards at Asgore. He tried to ignore the fact that Asgore still looked intimidating and eventually extended a hand towards him while Asgore did the same, but before they could even shake hands Glenn was suddenly pulled backwards by someone unexpected. "WHY DIDN'T YOU WAKE ME UP?!!!!" the female voice shouts at Glenn who is currently being shaken, Sam who had to chuckle at the silly scene called out to her "livie" the female heard him and dropped Glenn onto the ground before running over towards Sam "how can you both forget me like that!" her tone was very dramatic "silly girl, we would never forget you. we just thought you could use the extra sleep" he explains as the female known as Livie pouts but then straightens up "fine...you're forgiven" and just as that she changed her attitude. King Asgore and the rest of the monster kind had this mixture of shock and confusion in their expression as they stared at Livie who was in fact not a human, but a monster skeleton. Some even had to do a double take as they rubbed their eyes feverishly to be sure they weren't being deceived by what they saw. This raised some questions and concerns as to how the female skeleton was already here on the surface while they were down in the underground and only gotten out today. Glenn got up and sighed "well now that you are here, how about you greet monster kind with us" he suggested as Livie turns around with stars for eyelights "really?" "yeah sure" Livie hugs Glenn tightly "thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!!" "l-livie you're squishing me..." Livie then lets him go as she fixes his clothing from being so scrunched up. She then stood next to Glenn, excitement radiating from her. Sam clears his throat again as he pokes Livie's side with his elbow, Livie was puzzled at first before finally getting what he was trying to say "oh right! sorry about that, my name is livie. live hanna and it is a pleasure to meet you all" she was very happy to meet them once more. Glenn reaches out for a handshake once again as he feels embarrassed now "sorry, uh nice to meet you all" king Asgore let out a lighthearted chuckle to lighten up the mood before shaking Glenn's hand. After they shook hands another monster seemed to make his way to the front in a hurry while two other monsters tagged along "excuse me! sorry! pardon me!" "wait! where are you going?!" the monster finally came to the front, panting heavily as this apparently was also a skeleton but with two obvious cracks on his skull, one going diagonally upwards and the other straight downwards, he was about 7'5 feet tall and his eyelights were a lavender color. The two other monsters behind him were also skeletons, one was about 7 feet tall, wearing a yellow scarf, his eyelights were a yellow color. While the one next to him was 6 feet tall, wearing a green green jacket, his eyelights were a minty green color. Meanwhile Livie is only 5'4 feet tall, making her the smallest skeleton amongst them and she internally sighed at this realization. She then took a good look at the other as he slowly took a step forward with this expression on his face as if she was going to disappear with a mere touch of his hand, the tall skeleton's hand was shaking in disbelief "l-livie?" he called out. Livie smiles warmly at him and opens her arms "welcome home gaster". That sentence alone sent the one she called Gaster running over to her and engulfing her in a hug, because of his tall stature she was very much lifted off the ground "it really is you! thank the stars that i am able to see you once more" he started to cry tears of happiness as Livie herself started to cry along with him "gee gaster, you're making me emotional!" she giggled but comforted him nonetheless "it is good to see you safe and sound again gaster". Livie had longed to see the skeleton family again, but she knew because of what transpired in the past that there was a possibility that their memories were erased and even that of those she met during her childhood. "uh...dr.gaster...who is this skeleton" Asgore inquired and right then Gaster had let go of Livie who fell onto the ground "Oof...you're so lucky i have sturdy bones..." Livie said while getting back up slowly and dusting herself off. Gaster held back his chuckles and cleared voice while taking a more professional posture "it's...a long story your highness and perhaps we could talk about this when the time is right'' meanwhile Glenn was laughing at Livie from the background as he found this karmic payback for what she did minutes earlier. She sneaks off towards Glenn and punches his shoulder softly while sticking out her tongue towards him. Everyone from monster kind stared at Gaster with this neutral face of displeasurement. "h-how about a tour of the town?" Gaster tried to change the subject as everyone's attention was now directed back towards Sam who was pinching the bridge of his nose while Livie had Glenn tackled to the ground and in a wrestler's grip. Asgore sighed as he looked behind him "Toriel could you be a dear-" The other fluffy monster who Asgore called Toriel was already on her way "already on it..." she bonks Livie gently on her skull as Livie blinks in confusion while letting go of Glenn, Toriel proceeds to pick Livie up underneath her arms and bring her over towards Gaster. Toriel then pats Livie's head "now be a dear and behave?" Livie was absolutely confused as she blinked several times before replying "...suuuuuure". Glenn stood up and had his own little lecture from Sam who in turn felt more awkward then confused. "soooooooooooo...how about we do that tour huh?" Glenn says trying to seemingly make them forget the childish scene that happened, with a worried heart Glenn took the lead. Livie decided to walk next to Gaster so she could catch up on what happened in the underground, while the other two skeletons walked behind them. "so, silliness aside. what exactly happened after the incident?" Livie asked curiously as Gaster could only sigh "remember when i fell into core?" "how could i forget? i tried saving you from falling in it" "well it to keep it simple, i was teleported into a space that i call the void. from there i could see everything and every ending. but as helpful as it sounds, the void made it so that i could not intervene with anybody" "that's awful...so what happened during that time you were stuck?" Livie asks curiously while Gaster explained all of that transpired in the underground, Sans and Papyrus were watching their interactions carefully. Papyrus was more curious about Livie while Sans was suspicious of her, not to mention the fact that she has been living up at the surface for years now. Gaster smiles and looks down at Livie "that summarizes everything in a nutshell, but enough about that. how did you manage to survive among the humans?" Livie was caught off guard by the sudden change of subject, she looked straight at Glenn and Sam who were walking with Asgore and Toriel at the front of the group. "you see glenn and sam over there?" she asks and Gaster changed his gaze towards the two humans at the front "yes i do, what about them?" "when i was suddenly at the surface...i was at the exit of the barrier and refused to leave that spot" she looks down at the floor and rubs her upper arms "i didn't want to leave my newfound family behind and well i tried to get back inside...but as you might guess it didn't work" Gaster was surprised to hear this and looked concerned at her "don't you find it funny? with all of this strength and magic i have, i couldn't even get back inside and worse of all is that i got sick because i neglected to take care of my own health. all because i wanted to get back with all of you..." "oh livie..." Gaster gently rubbed her back in comfort as Livie looked up at the sky which was a mix of red and night blue at the moment "but then as luck had it, they found me and even took care of me until i was all better again. the fact that they didn't treat me as a monster, but a part of their family made me so happy...if it wasn't for them...i would've lost all hope of ever seeing you all again" she smiles and lets a tear roll down her cheekbone, but wiped away any other that were threatening to fall. "i studied and graduated in the human world. as the only monster in the world, there were some limitations to who was allowed to have contact with me and who didn't. it was tough since i could only trust the citizens here and sam's connections, who surprisingly know how to do things discreetly. but i guess those are the perks of former soldiers" Gaster looks at Sam feeling a little suspicious about his former 'job' "eventually i became a successful and rich psychiatrist. i even have plenty other diplomas and certificates that i actually gotten out of curiosity". Livie looks back at Sans and Papyrus who were still staring at her before looking back in front of her "thanks to sam i also found out about the side effect of the spell that 'she' used on me. y'know the part where there is a high chance that everyone has forgotten about me" Gaster looks at her with surprise, but also feeling as though these things are impossible for one human to have almost all the answers and Livie did pick up on that "look...sam may be old now but when he was young...he did everything to keep this place from being demolished...which meant that he had to some secret things. but since i came along, i actually made sure that nobody could touch this place!" Livie had this proud expression on her face while Gaster's mind was racing with questions. "look, all you need to know for now is that everyone is going to be safe and sound living here. you can still ask your questions when everything else is settled" Livie tried her best to let Gaster understand that there was a time and place for these things, but not right now. As they kept talking, the brothers behind them were starting their own conversation "sans" "yes papyrus" "i do not understand how our father knows this woman" "maybe he knew her before we were even born?" "sans, do not be stupid. she looks far too young to be older than us" Sans sighed and lazily shifted his gaze towards Papyrus "sorry bro, i just don't know what to tell ya" Papyrus felt a bit guilty for expecting his brother to know everything "it is alright sans. it's just that whenever i look at her, i have the oddest feeling that deep down in my soul..." "we know her?" Sans finishes his sentence as Papyrus nods "it is indeed odd that we have that same exact feeling when we look at her. as much as i want to investigate this matter, right now might not be the best decision. but perhaps the answers will come to us on their own" Papyrus rubs his chin as he looks at Livie some more "i agree brother! patience is a virtue as those human books say". But Sans however continued his suspicious staring at Livie who was all too aware that he was staring at her from behind. "gaster...your son is staring..." she whispers as Gaster chuckles before replying back in a whisper "he's probably just curious about you" Livie groans in annoyance as she didn't like the uneasy feeling that Sans was giving her. However the group had stopped in front of her large house "and here you will dine and stay for a bit" "WOAH! Woah! woah!" Livie intervened as she pushes her way to the front of the group and grabbed Glenn's ear "can you excuse us for a minute" she was clearly VERY annoyed at this sudden revelation.
