I heard a loud knock on the door. I turned over and looked at my clock.
“3 a.m.? Who on earth is knocking on my door?” I mumbled to myself.
I walked downstairs and answered the door. My eyes widened and my jaw dropped. It was Zach.
“Hh..Hi?”
He didn’t say anything at first he just looked at my stomach and cringed.
I examined him. His eye were blood shot and puffy. His hair was mess and his knuckles were bleeding.
“Why? Why did you keep the baby?”
“What do you mean?” His question took me by surprise.
“You could’ve had an abortion when you had the chance. Now it’s too late. You honestly want to have a baby at 16? Oh and you forgot to mention that you were 16, I could be arrested for rape or molestation. Do you even realize that? How could you let this happen?”
His voice was low and harsh.
“Oh no, no, no, you are not blaming this on me. I wasn’t the one who was drunk. I wasn’t the one who knew better. I had no will power, it was the first time a boy came on to me like that and I couldn’t resist. I would not kill an innocent baby just because the situation wasn’t the best. I’m not taking this baby’s life, I will raise her with or without you. Now good night Zach. If you really want to talk come back at a reasonable time.”
I slammed the door and stormed upstairs. What did I just do?
