A blessing in disguise

Twenty Two

The collective screams from the crowd roared through the venue. Zach and John were on stage together, smiling and waving. I'm in shock. I can't believe Zach just told the fans about John.

"Thank you for coming out! Meet and greet is at our merch table in 20 minutes." Zach said.

He quickly made his way backstage. This time existing on my side. When Zach was behind the curtain, he scanned the room and quickly found me. His face lit up into a huge smile. I went to congratulate him on a successful first night, but his lips beat me to it. After our short kiss he pulled me into a hug. It was Zach, John, and I hugging. A flash went off, followed by someone screaming about how they just took a the cutest picture ever. Zach smiled and grabbed my hand.

We walked hand in hand to the merch table. Zach handed me John while he met some fans. I was a silent observer, standing the corner and watching the meet and greet. Some girls saw me and gave me a confused look. Some even gave me a nasty one. A couple of girls came up to me.

"Hi! Can I hold John? He's so cute!" they squealed.

"Uh, sure I guess." I answered uneasily.

I handed John to the girl. She held him and did the normal "baby talk" that every does.

"May I take a picture with him?" She asked.

"I don't see why not." I said while grabbing her camera.

I snapped the picture and the girl handed John back to me. She gave me a smile and walked over to the merch table. Other fans soon caught on and asked to hold John. Lucky for them John is outgoing and loves meeting new people. He even smiled during pictures. I honestly felt like such a proud mom.

When the line to meet John was longer than the line to meet Zach, Cameron came over and helped me. Zach and Mikey were completely oblivious. Cameron was amazing at controlling the crowd. If someone did anything to make John or I uncomfortable he would calmly warn them to stop.

Some girls were walking towards Zach after they got their picture with John, Zach and I over heard them joking around.

"Wow, Cameron is a better dad than Zach."

Zach immediately turned around and walked over to Cameron, John, and I.

"Ok, meet and greet is over." He said while grabbing John out of a fan's arms.

After getting a hold of John, Zach stormed out of the venue. Cameron and I gave each other a quick glance and said goodbye to the fans. Zach was pissed and we knew it. We found Zach outside of the bus. He handed John to Cameron and asked him to put him in his crib. Cameron agreed and left Zach and I alone outside.

"What were those girls talking about?" Zach said as soon as the door on the bus closed after Cameron.

"Cameron was helping me out with John. He was keeping the fans from getting to touchy with him. That's all, it was no big deal, really."

"Do you love me?"

His question threw me off.

"Yes oh course." I answered.

"Ok, then that's all that matters." He grabbed my hand and lead me onto the bus.

I don't know what Zach Porter is up to, but it can't be good.
