four: appreciation
the restaurant was full of drunk people who clearly had a habit of losing their manners after a few drinks. they must've thought jisoo and chaeyoung were prostitutes or strippers by the way their stares went in for a bit too long. one of them even tried to flare chaeyoung's dress up to get a peek inside. jisoo called it, "a thirst for lust"
all the doctors were already seated, taking advantage of taehyung's money as he agreed to buy them all dinner. this guy must be eating with golden cutlery to be paying a mass amount for all these people. maybe it's because he doesn't know them very well, but the doctors here actually eat quite a lot, jisoo included. jisoo took a seat involuntarily beside doctor lee and when she thought chaeyoung was going to sit beside her, she completely abandoned her.
"don't leave me." jisoo pleaded with worried eyes.
"you'll be fine. my hubby is over there." she bit her lip seductively and scurried away in a matter of seconds. 'her hubby' was this guy called jeongsu. he was also a senior doctor of the same specialty. they both often work together and chaeyoung has come up with this wonderful fantasy that he in fact likes her when instead he just has a flirtatious personality.
"no," she dragged her words. "i'll be lonely." she tried to guilt chaeyoung in order for her to give in.
"doctor lee will keep you company." she tapped his shoulder and he spun his neck to face them. "right?"
"yeah, i'll keep you company." he gave her a slight grin to which jisoo responded with an icy glare.
"you shut it." she snapped and he simply laughed before turning back to his conversation with a few other colleagues.
chaeyoung went over to jeongsu's table and sat down beside him, almost immediately downing a shot.
"woah, slow down baby." he patted her head softly and she melted at his touch.
she giggled. "sorry." and she leaned back so her back was pressed against his chest and his arms around her body.
jisoo sighed upon seeing them together and turned back towards the table, devouring the grilled meat in front of her. "jisoo—" doctor lee began to call her name.
"don't talk to me." she said with her mouth full, not even sparing one look his way.
"you're so childish." he ruffled hair and she snapped her neck so fast, giving him a cold glare.
