[twenty nine]

jisoo trotted down the stairs after a cool morning shower. chaeyoung was in the kitchen making breakfast whilst jimin was watching netflix. jisoo scanned the lounge and kitchen but she couldn't find the person she was looking for.

she let out a sigh and tucked the stray strands of hair behind her ears. she commenced down the stairs but her foot slipped and she let out a squeal. jisoo shut her eyes tightly and she reluctantly accepted her fate that she was probably going to break her neck.

instead of feeling the cold hard floor on her skin, she felt a pair of warm arms engulf her and then her body was thrusted away from the floor. jisoo breathed a sigh of relief and slowly open her eyes. it was taehyung who so amazingly saved her from the almost horrendous fall.

the ends of her lips curled up to smile and he did too but the moment didn't last long as chaeyoung yelled taehyung's name from the top of her lungs.

"duty calls." taehyung chuckled. "be more careful, would you?" he stood her up straight and caressed her cheek softly. "i don't want anything to happen to you or the baby. our baby." he said in a gentle voice.

"taehyung!" chaeyoung screamed once again.

taehyung pecked jisoo's forehead and then ran down the remaining stairs and to the kitchen to help chaeyoung out with breakfast.

jisoo raised her hand and placed it firmly on her heart. it was pounding crazily like a gorilla stuck in a cage. it wouldn't stop beating and jisoo thought that it would some time jump out of her chest. she then moved her hand to the back of her neck to feel the warmth radiating off of her body.

her hands found their way to her stomach as she realised that she not only had a baby in there but a whole zoo.

"the things he does to me." she muttered under breath.

"breakfast is ready, what are you doing here?" jimin popped out from in front of her.

"hmm, nothing. let's go eat, i'm starving." jisoo smiled brightly and wrapped her arm around jimin's shoulder. "how's school?"

"same old. i still don't have friends and people still don't like me. but i have fun with taehee though. don't tell taehyung, he might slaughter me." jimin giggled adorably and jisoo's heart melted even more.

"okay, i won't. but tell me more later on, okay?" jisoo ruffled his hair and he nodded in response.

as jisoo circled the table to find her seat, her eyes met taehyung's and it was almost like they were in a stance. their eyes locked and they got lost in each other's captivating orbs.

chaeyoung and jimin looked at each other with the same look of confusion but they shrugged.

"what's up with the both of you?" chaeyoung asked as she waved her fork around.

"hmm." taehyung jumped up slightly. "nothing why?"

"never mind." chaeyoung shook her head. "just hurry and eat or you'll both be late for work."

taehyung, jisoo and jimin conversed as they ate but chayeoung sat there alone and absused her food with the utensils instead of putting them in her mouth.

jimin motioned his head to chaeyoung when jisoo looked at him."what's with her?" he mouthed.

jisoo shook her head and shrugged indicating that she had no idea why chaeyoung was acting this way.

"hey, are you oka-" before jisoo could finish her sentence, chaeyoung looked up and interrupted her words.

"is there something wrong with me?" she asked with eyes full of rejection and pain.

"no, no, nothing why? did someone say something or do something to you, chae?"

"no, it's just i texted jungkook to see if he was up for dinner but he totally rejected me." she replied with a sad expression.

"i mean, he does have a girlfriend." jimin said as he stuffed his face now looking like the cutest chipmunk on earth.

"not anymore." taehyung mumbled with a sigh.

"what do you mean?" chaeyoung dropped her fork on her plate and the ringing sound echoed through the halls. "did they break up?"

"she cheated on him. he only found out last night. in fact, she used him but i think you should ask him for yourself." taehyung ran his slender fingers through his fluffy hair.

chaeyoung grabbed her jacket from the closet, put on her shoes and ran out of the house in a hurry. her heart ached for jungkook and she yearned to see him. mainly because knowing that he was hurt and heartbroken made her heart smash to pieces too. she had to see him, no matter what.

and so she drove through red lights and went twice the speed limit because thats how desperate she was.
