열 아홉 nineteen: part 1
the night was young. the time was early evening and there was a slight breeze lingering in the air. taehyung was the first to get dressed since work ended early for him. he changed from his black suit into a white gucci shirt, denim jacket and black jeans with a pair of black trainers.
he sat at the counter seat with a glass of water in his hand as he constantly contemplated on the future. jisoo agreed to carry his baby, which was now her baby too. taehyung would be forever grateful and he really wanted to enjoy the day with her. the girls wouldn't be back until 5 and jimin would only arrive thirty minutes earlier so in the mean time, it was just taehyung.
taehyung ran his tongue over his teeth, drawing in a deep breath before proceeding to close his eyes. darkness clouded his vision before a sudden light appeared.
"mummy! daddy's coming to eat me." the little girl screamed, giggling as she jumped into her mother's loving arms.
the said man came running through the door, snatching the little girl off her mother and throwing her into the air.
"ahh!! daddy." she continued to laugh adorably.
"i love you, my little princess." taehyung said, nuzzling his face into the crook of his daughter's neck, making her giggle once again.
"i love you too." she said. "and you, mummy." she added to which jisoo chuckled. she ruffled her daughter's hair and then placed a peck on taehyung's cheek.
"i love you too darling." she said to her daughter. "honey, tuck her in bed and then come to sleep. i'm tired." she said and kissed taehyung's cheek again.
taehyung opened his eyes, startled at the sound of someone knocking on the door. he shook his head slightly but he couldn't shake away the warm feeling he felt inside or the smile on his face.
"jimin? where's your keys?" taehyung asked once he saw jimin standing at the door.
"all the way at the bottom of my bag and i just couldn't be asked to take them out." he says with tiredness laced in his voice.
"you okay?"
"yeah, just tired. but i'm excited. i've never been to an amusement park before." he exclaimed, bouncing on his feet.
"alright, well go get changed before the girls come." taehyung said. "we're meeting jungkook there, right?"
"yeah!" he heard jimin yell his response from upstairs in his bedroom.
taehyung sighed, closing his eyes again in an attempt to revive the beautiful vision but all he saw was darkness.
there was a change of plans. jimin and taehyung would go pick up jungkook from his house and then go to the hospital to pick up the girls. they said they pre-dressed themselves so all was good.
jimin was wearing an oversized black and white striped top with ripped tight jeans. his sleeves covered the entirety of his hands except his little tiny fingers. jimin hopped into the passenger seat of taehyung's car.
"what song?" taehyung asked jimin who was awkwardly fidgeting with the sleeves of his top.
"i like mamamoo." jimin said in a very quiet tone.
"it's not a bad thing." taehyung smiled. "i like them too, my favourite is solar."
"she's my bias wrecker! i love hwasa but sometimes i feel like she'll eat me up." he honestly said making taehyung laugh loudly.
"her character is strong, isn't it?" taehyung barely made out in between his wheezing since jimin was too cute and too funny.
they spent the car ride listening to mamamoo's songs, including starry night, piano man, egotistic and more. but eventually the medley came to an end when they arrived at jungkook's house.
jungkook was already waiting outside wearing a cute white sweater with a little bunny in the corner and black jeans. jungkook got into the back seat after saying his greetings. he's always been in taehyung's car since they were best friends but it has been a while.
"hello, jimin." jungkook waved at him and at the same time he was doing his seatbelt.
"hi." jimin shyly smiled.
"what's up, kookie?" taehyung reached his hand out from in between the seats for a high five.
"jimin told me what happened. i'm so happy for you!" jungkook exclaimed, smiling ever so brightly.
"thank you." taehyung nodded. "let's go or we're gonna be late." taehyung said once he glanced over at the time.
they continued to drive towards the hospital. the sky was still bright but it was slightly tinted dark, indicating that night is soon to come.
as taehyung parked in front of the hospital, the two girls were already standing out front waiting for their arrival.
chaeyoung breathed a sigh of relief, getting into the car first. what she didn't know was that jungkook was also in the car so when she opened the car door, he was the first face she saw. she blushed furiously, her cheeks red in colour and her eyes widened.
"hi." she croaked after a long, awkward silence.
"hey." he replied.
"bro, hurry up. i wanna sit down." jisoo groaned, pushing chaeyoung in.
as jisoo sat down, she purposefully took up a lot of space in order to reduce the distance between jungkook and chaeyoung.
chaeyoung glared at her, with her eyes telling her to stop but it was all fun and games.
"i don't wanna puke so let's go to the amusement park first!" jimin said, the others nodding in agreement.
