Chapter 35

Elliana's POV

The mess of curly red hair rushes towards me and engulfs me in a hug. God, I've missed her hugs. 

"I can't believe that you're actually here " she says leaning back to look at me while she talks.

"Me neither. What are you doing here?" I ask before I pull her in for a second hug.

"Dad decided to take us here because he's been busy working and we haven't seen him all year" she answers smiling. 

"Come on inside. we have so much to talk about" I gush as I lead her across the wooden floor of our porch.

Autumn and I have been best friends since middle school. I can't believe that she's actually here. I never expected to run into her tonight. I haven't talked to her for such a long time. Not that I didn't want to, I just was caught up with all the stuff that was happening back in England. Autumn is a lot more outgoing than I am. We're practically polar opposites, but I guess that's what makes our bond so strong. 

I wanted to FaceTime Harvey after I come back from our swim, but I guess that can wait for later.

Autumn and I talk about everything that's been happening in our lives. Like how her dad got a new job and that her mom is also a nurse now. She tells me hoe much her youtube channel has grown since the last time we talked, and how she's now getting invited to awards shows and movie premieres. And I tell her what's happened recently with me and Harvey. I mention that Lucas has a girlfriend and she literally gasps when she hears that. Her and I have never really expected Lucas to ever settle down with a girl. She tells me about a rumor that a girl in our school, the one in Canada, that we used to hang out with from time to time caught an STD from the school counselor. We talk for hours until we fall asleep on my bed two hours after the clock strikes twelve. 

"Bitch, get up. We're hanging out today." the freckled girl shakes me out of my deep slumber. I groan, pull the covers over my face and turn to the other side of the bed.

"Come on. We have little time and so much to do. so WAKE.THE.FUCK.UP"she screams.

I groan and get out of the bed unwillingly. I walk to the bathroom to get ready before I get dressed. I put on a slightly loose light  jeans skirt with a tight black crop top and my black vans and we're out the door.

" Okay. So where are we going?" I ask.

"I have a whole schedule for us. First we're gonna go shopping. Then we're gonna have lunch at that Italian restaurant" she start.

"God, there food is sooo good." I sigh remembering the taste of their food.

"I know. We can play volleyball after that for old times sake. Then we're gonna shower and get all ready for this gig, I got tickets for. And before you say anything I got them for free from one of my friends. We can go for a swim after or watch a movie. Ohh, or we can sneak into that club." she states excitedly.

I chuckle." we are not going to a club." I state. She always does this. She's a party animal. 

"Fine, fine. But we are still doing the rest." Autumn says as she grabs my hand and carries me inside the mall we just arrived at. 

The cool air hits me as we enter that air-conditioned mall, relieving me from the hot weather outside.

"Ohh, we should go into that store. The dresses there are so cute" she gushes dragging me inside before I have a chance to reply. 

We've visited almost every store at this mall and got a lot of different outfits for different occasions, including ones for tonight's event. I can barely walk anymore, though. My legs are soar from all the walking. However, Autumn looks just as enthusiastic as she did when we first got here. But it's almost 2 pm, so we decide to go grab a bite at the Italian restaurant we talked about earlier.
