Elliana's POV

Autumn has been gone for about ten minutes now. I decide to stop waiting next to the table and take a walk on the beach. I fill my now empty cup of beer and start walking. The sun has already set and its dark now, but the lights from the party illuminate my way as I walk in the opposite direction of where we came from. I remember that there are wooden tables and chairs somewhere near here, because my family and I  used to sit there and eat ice cream from the shop across the street there, so I through my drink in the nearest garbage can. When I get there, I make sure that the table is empty and them go into the shop and order a smoothie. I head back outside and sit on one of the chairs so that I am facing the ocean. The stars aren't as visible as they usually are this time at night. I'm guessing that's because of the lights from the party. And yes, they are that bright.

Last night while the TV was on, I couldn't stop thinking about how I think that I more than like Harvey. I mean I really like the way he makes me feel, and he can make me smile with just one look. He also understands my past, for he has lived through almost the same thing. Harvey has been there for me this whole half a year. Despite how mean he was at first. That feels like it's happened so long ago. We've been through some stuff. Yeah not as bad as some, but we always make up. We both fought to get past out arguments to make this relationship work. I can't go a whole day without seeing him let alone thinking about him. I feel like those things are what have made our relationship this strong. The one problem is that I can't even think about the L- wording Harvey and that's making me doubt my feelings for him.

I finish my smoothie and get up to throw it away.

"Hey! I was going to surprise you. Now' I can't do that anymore" the thick British accent that never fails to make me smile echos.

"Sorry. Burt I'm surprised that you're here if that helps?" I say the smile not leaving my face.

Harvey chuckles before shaking his head and wraps his arms around me.

"How was your day?" he asks, his arm slung around my shoulder while we walk back in the direction of the party.

"good. I hung out with Autumn. How about you?" I ask.

"Good and bad. " he shrugs.

"care to explain?"

"well, I have another concert" he smiles

I hug him. " That's great"

"yeah" ,he rubs the back of his neck, " it's just that I have to leave tomorrow. night and won't be back for a day"

"Okay. That's great. It's your dream after all." I am a little gutted that I won't spent a day with him but this is his dream and it's one day. I can survive. My phone rings interrupting our conversation. I look at the caller ID and I'm sure Harvey sees it to because his whole expression changes.

"Oh, lighten up. We've already been through this. Andrew is just a friend." I nudge him with guy elbow and answer the phone. Harvey and I had a fight not so long ago about this. He didn't like Andrew and asked me to stop being friends with him. I, of course, disagreed. That started the screaming match. Fortunately, he back back two hours later with cupcakes, ice cream and an apology.

"Heyyy, sis. We miss you here." he says cheerfully through the phone.

" hey Andrew" I greet him laughing.

"Question of the day time." he clears his throat, getting ready to fire the question," Would you rather eat chocolate flavored shit or shit flavored chocolate?" Andrew has been doing this ever since I left for this vacation, and the questions get weirder and weirder by the day.

"Doesn't that make shit chocolate and chocolate shit?" I ask, earning a look of confusion from Harvey.

"Maybe. but it's no fun if you look at it that way." Andrew complains.

"Sorry"

"well, I have to go. It was nice taking to you" he says before ending the call.

"What was that?" Harvey asks.

"Question of the day" I reply smiling, as we continue walking.

We ended up walking past the party, and straight home. I texted Autumn to inform her that I have left. We take a seat on the patio couch and I place my legs in his lap. He covers us with a blanket that was already outside.

"I was thinking that maybe we could hang out tomorrow before I leave. I did a little exploring yesterday and want to show you the places I liked most. You know, to make up for the day I won't be here"

"yeah sure. That would be fun. I'm going to miss you." I say. I try to keep my eyes open to continue with our conversation but fail. Soon enough I'm in a deep sleep.

The next day my mom wakes me up and informs me that Harvey's at the door waiting for me. I guessed that Harvey or Lucas carried me to my room last night after I fell asleep. Excitement fills me as I get ready and meet Harvey. I look at my phone to check the time and notice that it's already after 2 in the afternoon.

Once I'm outside Harvey wraps his arms around me and kisses me on my forehead.

"morning" I say and he replies similarly.

"can you tell me where we're going or is it a surprise?" I ask him.

"surprise" he smiles. It always is.

we start walking in the same direction Autumn and I have walked in too many times this summer. We pass the all too familiar houses and the cafe he performed at and still we continue walking.Harvey leads me to a wooden road. At the end of the road  we round a corner where there is a cafe or restaurant I can't really tell. The building is old but it's beautiful. It's nothing like the buildings around and it stands out. The inside is just as pretty. The tables and chairs are all wooden and the waiters are all dressed like in the 90's.

A waitress ushers us to our table next to a window on the left of the door. Harvey and I take our seats, and we order drinks.

"I found this place the other day when I was walking around. do you like it?" He asks.

"yeah, it's really cool." I reply looking around.

The waitress comes back and places our drinks on the table. We thank her before she leaves.

I stare at Harvey while he takes a sip from his drink from his sharp jawline to his pink lips to his nose to his eyes to his messy blonde hair. He really is handsome. And I can't believe that I've fallen in love with him. The boy that I said I'd stay away from everyday since I met him. It's funny how life is like that. I never expected to have a decent conversation with him let alone fall for him. But I wouldn't take back a thing. He is everything I've ever wanted, everything I've ever needed. And he's right here in front of me, looking at me studying my face like I'm studying his. He's looking at me with such and intensity in his eyes. His eyes roam my face slowly before he finally meets my eyes.

"wow" he mutters a minute after staring deeply into my eyes, looking right into my soul. He shakes his head slightly, like he can't b believe what's happening. He stands up and holds out his hand for me to take it.

"come on, I wanna take you somewhere" he says sounding nervous. I look at him confused, but he doesn't elaborate. He throws money on the table to cover for the drinks we got, but never actually got to drinking. I take his hand, which is oddly sweaty, still confused, as he leads out of the cafe in a hurry. I wonder what he's so nervous about. It's not like him at all.
