Imagine you have cancer
"I don't understand why she needs to do this," Klaus exclaimed.
"I agree," Rebekah said, "can't we just slit our wrists, give her a few drops, all better?"
"She needs to be diagnosed," Elijah sighed.
They all in the waiting room looking up the hall at your door and waiting for someone to come out so they could compel some answers.
And then someone did.
"What's wrong with her," Klaus grabbed the doctor, compelling her.
"Its cancer," The woman said, "in the lungs."
All three of them froze. None of them could imagine losing you.
"Nik," Rebekah breathed in shock, reaching for her half brother's comfort.
She latched onto his arm and Elijah hovered behind them.
"There is that chemotherapy? Yes?" Elijah asked.
"Are you her family?" The doctor said, "because I can't-"
"We are the closest thing she has to family," Rebekah cried.
"You are going to do anything we ask of you!" Klaus growled, compelling the woman, "now tell us if this damned chemotherapy would work!"
"I assume it would, the cancer is still in the early stages," the woman said, "but it might not."
"If there is even the smallest chance that this will save Y/n then we are bloody well doing it!!" Rebekah announced.
"What could have caused it, I wonder," Elijah murmured.
"Smoking is the most common and known cause-"
"She has never touched a cigarette!" Klaus growled.
"Niklaus, you don't know that," Elijah shushed his brother.
"But there's also second hand smoke, genetics...it could just be the polluted air," The doctor shrugged.
Klaus' eyes turned yellow and he snarled at the woman, Elijah grabbed his brother's shoulders and Rebekah stepped away.
"Niklaus, please try to refrain yourself," Elijah said, "To much tragedy happens in these places. Y/n is sick, focus on what is important."
"This despicable woman acts as if our Y/n's death sentence is nothing!" Klaus exclaimed, "I should kill her right now."
"Don't say that, Nik," Rebekah shook her head, "Y/n can't..d-d...leave us."
"She won't," Elijah said, he turned to the doctor, "we'll take the chemotherapy, please."
"You may want to ask the girl," The doctor advised, "not all peo-"
"You idiotic human, have you not hear-"
"Niklaus, please," Elijah hissed, "Continue."
"There are side effects," The woman sighed, "if the therapy does cure her cancer it can return later in life, and it will most likely affect her fertility. And as you probably already know she will lose her immune system, and her hair."
"I think Y/n should have a choice," Elijah announced.
"But if she chooses not to...." Rebekah trailed off, tears falling down her face.
Klaus looked shocked.
"Have you told her," Klaus asked.
The woman shook her head.
"Take us to her room," Klaus said, "Then you may go."
The siblings followed the doctor to your room, to give the information that would probably ruin your life.
