As you were about to be finished packing up something stopped you. The something was Mrs Jones.
"Mr L/n," The blonde cried, "Davina, stay behind."
You gave a short huff, you didn't find it fair that whoever Davina was got to be called by her actual name while you were 'Mr Y/n'. Then you frowned, who the hell calls their kid Davina, what kinda messed up name is that.
You turned to see 'Davina' who was already standing close to the teacher. And who was Davina, the girl who'd you'd just been sitting behind.
"Yes, Mrs Jones," Davina said, looking at the woman with an adoring look in her eyes.
"Teacher's pet," You muttered under your breath.
"Don't worry, Davina, Dear," Mrs Jones rubbed the new girl's shoulder comfortably, "You aren't the one at fault here."
Davina let out a sigh of relief and you rolled your eyes at her, until you realised that Mrs Jones meant that you were in the shit.
"Y/n here has been failing this class," She raised a blonde eyebrow, "and if he ceases to pass his upcoming report card he won't be able to display his....unique art in the local show.
Too bad , You thought to yourself, I guess that Steve the flaming zombie squatter kangaroo won't have his time to shine....in flames.
You shrugged, it wasn't too bad, nobody considered things like Steve art anyway. Just like the drawing you did of your fish if he was a humanoid fish monster, nobody liked Davo the fighting fish/human monster who was also a Mexican.
"Oh no," Davina exclaimed quietly, her pitying eyes focused on you.
You rolled your eyes.
"And if he continues to draw in class I will be forced to confiscate his sketch book no matter what Mr Andrews says," Mrs Jones sighed, "Maths is more important than art."
"What if I want to do art, not maths," You scoffed, "Then, tell me which is more important."
"I seriously doubt that your father would allow you to be an artist, Mr L/n," Mrs Jones rolled her eyes, "and none the less, you need to catch up and Miss Claire is very much ahead. Leaving her with time to tutor you."
"No."
"Or you could repeat this year with the younger teens," The teachers blue eyes sparkled, knowing that she'd won, "You'll be required to meet at least twice a week during school and thrice outside of campus. Don't worry Davina, this isn't without purpose, it will look quite lovely when applying for college."
Davina nodding, seemingly accepting that she'd have to tutor the budding artist, and you began internally dry heaving.
Fun.
