Leo was lying on his back in a gondola looking up at the stars when Nico dropped in next to him.

"Ah! Nico?" Leo said blatantly surprised.

"hey.." He offered weakly.

Leo pulled him into a hug "I'd thought I'd lost you."

Nico embraced him back. "You did for a moment."

Leo pulled back and kissed him on the cheek. "I understand that you don't want to get married, I'm stupid for trying to move so fast, I just rationalized it by how long we've known each other, and I apologize for-"

Nico pressed a finger to his lips. "Shh. Don't apologize for anything. I didn't have panicked like that, and left you at the restaurant. I'm the one who should be apologizing."

Leo blinked at him in wonder.

"Leo.. You should ask again." Nico said softly.

Leo pulled out the little box and shifted himself to where he was on one knee.

"Nico Di Angelo, will you marry me?"

Nico smiled and looked at the ring inside, it was silver with gold candy-skull designs all around it. "Fuck well here goes nothing." Leo slipped it on Nico's left ring finger.

"Of course." Nico said happily. Nico smiled and slipped the gold and silver ring with pretty skull designs on his left ring finger. Nico knocked Leo off his balance with a kiss and flipped gondola sending them both flying into the water.

"I can't swim!" Leo yelped before he went under.
