Leico Valdangelo just another heartache

The first thing Leo noticed when they walked inside of the courtroom was that Octavian was the judge. The second thing he noticed was the two women, the one with short blonde hair was representing Percy, and the one with the long dark hair was representing the people of New Rome.

"Your honor, the people request remand without bail. He is violent and ruthless-he has brutally beaten and raped the son of Pluto. He has the means and the willpower to leave to his father Neptune, and he will if we give him the chance."

"Your honor, that's ridiculous. Perceus Jackson is hardly a flight risk. He is a hero and has accomplished so many great things. His only wish is to return to his home and mourn his fiancée and child."

"He can mourn from his cell." Octavian replied. "Request for remand has been accepted."

Piper fist pumped and whispered. "See he's not an ass 24/7 like Jason said."

"What did I say?" Jason whispered as he sat down next to them with Hazel at his side.

Nico looked up and saw his sister. His eyes immediately brimmed with new tears as he got up to embrace her.

They wordlessly left the room, hand in hand. Leo wanted to follow, but he knew that Nico needed her right now and the best thing he could do was watch the trial unfold.

"How does the defendant plead?"

"Not guilty to all charges." The blonde woman answered.

"We will be hearing from four witnesses today." Octavian stated.

A man to his left said in a deep voice. "We call Doctor Shea, the legacy, to the stand."

Shea, who was siting two rows back from Leo, Piper, and Jason walked up to the front of the courtroom and took her seat at the witness chair.

"Do you swear to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help the gods?" The same man asked her.

"Yes. I do." She said firmly.

The dark haired woman stood up and began questioning her.

"Doctor Shea, can you identify the young man who came in to the infirmary two nights ago?"

"Nico Di Angelo, the son of Pluto."

"Who brought him?"

"Our praetor, Reyna Avila Ramirez-Arellano, daughter of Belladonna."

"What was her account of what happened?"

"She said that Nico was raped by Percy Jackson."

"Objection! Hearsay!"

Octavian gave the dark haired woman a warning "Get to your point counselor."

"Did you find evidence to support this claim?"

"Nico had suffered from severe asphyxiation, that almost killed him. He had blacked out instead. He had bruising and lesions on his face, neck, and bottom."

The dark haired woman showed the pictures of his face and neck to Octavian and the jury.

"He was also bleeding from his anal cavity-there was a severe amount of tearing."

"Anything else significant?"

"He almost lost two teeth. He was hit so hard that they were knocked loose. After we gave him ambrosia I had to hold them in place until his gums healed so they didn't fall out."

"Did you receive the results from the DNA found inside of Nico?"

"Yes, they are a clear match to Percy Jackson."
