Leico Valdangelo just another heartache

Frank drove and Piper sat shotgun. Leo sat in the very back and Nico laid on Leo's lap. Leo carded his fingers through Nico's baby bat winged hair and they spoke quietly.

Piper was reading, Frank was fiddling with the radio, and Leo and Nico whispered about their wedding plans.

This went on for hours.

Piper's book closed, Frank settled on a station, and Nico was asleep. Dark had fallen and the interstate began to blur into one long road.

Frank pulled off into an exit to get to a gas station.

As Frank pumped gas Piper asks "Frank?"

"Yeah?" He looks to her.

"We should stop somewhere for the night."

"I don't know..."

"I have money, there's motels down the street. This is a four day trip. You need sleep." Piper urged.

"Okay." Frank agreed.

"Nico?" Leo lightly shook his love awake.

"Hm?" Nico blinked awake.

"We're about to go to a motel for the night." Leo told him.

Nico sat up and replied "Okay."

They arrived at a Motel 6 a few minutes later. Frank grabbed his Adidas bag out of the back, Piper grabbed her backpack, and Leo and Nico got their duffel bags.

Piper spoke to the man at the office asking politely for three rooms.

"Lets see, I've got three rooms on the second floor right next to each other."

Piper nodded smiling as Nico said "Actually can you give us one that's two floors away and way down the hall, like on the opposite side of them!"

The motel office guy looked bemused "Why of course." He winked at Piper and looked right at Nico before handing Piper the keys and saying "ah kids".

They four walked away heading to the elevator to have a very awkward conversation.

As soon as the elevator closed Leo bursted out laughing and had to lean against the elevator rails for support.

"Neeks, that was so NOT suttle omfg." He laughed out.

Frank hit his palm against his forehead before saying. "Dude the guy thought you and Piper were together, and this is going to be even more awkward in the morning when I'm not tired."

Piper rolled her eyes and elbowed Leo in the ribs.

Leo did his best impression of Kim Kardashian and said "Don't be fucking rude!" Before bumping her with the duffel bag.

Piper rolled her eyes and the elevator opened. She and Frank got out and told the pair good night.
