Guys! There are only TEN CHAPTERS LEFT!!! I was triyng to line this book up with Lightweight so they could end together since they started together, but an update wa slong overdue! Sadly, my computer crashed a week ago and we were able to fix it ourselves, but it goes extra slow now! I canonly use it for around 30 minutes every other day,a nd I barely do that because it freezes if too much activity is going on. So, I will try my best to at least update once a week, but no promises are being made! Love you all! Enjoy this chapter!
I woke up to the obnoxious shrill of my alarm clock. Sunlight was just beginning to stream in from outside as I sat up in bed and rubbed the boggers from the crevices of my eyes. Grabbing my phone, I shut off the alarms and threw the blankets off of me, knowing if I didn’t get up now I would be late from lying back down. The cool air hit my practically bare skin, and for a second I wondered why I was even up this early. It was then I remembered this was the first day back form Spring Break. It's hard to say I was actually excited to go back to school after Spring Break. Ususally, I would dread the day I had to enter this hell hole prison with their food attempting to murder us, but now I looked forward to it.
I padded across my room with a newfound energy in my steps. It was the first day back to school, which meant I would get to see Anthony for the first item in a solid week and a half. Ever since he moved with his brother, who lived a little over an hour away, our time had been severally dampened. The only time I did see him since then was when I went with him to get the rest of his clothes from his parents’ house. I remember how Anthony had to keep hushing me because I wanted to curse out both of his parents. It mesmerized me how calm and patient he was with them. Even after the bogusness they did with kicking him out, he loved them unconditionally. He explained to me he wasn’t angry, but hurt, and me cursing them out would do nothing but complicate an already screwed situation.
Stepping out the shower, I threw on a simple outfit: A pink sweatshirt with NERD on the front, black skinny jeans, and black combat boots. I slapped a pink watch on my wrist and pinned pink heart shaped earrings in my ears. I tied my hair in a simple ponytail, putting on Anthony’s favorite scent and grabbing my bookbag and purse so I could leave. I grabbed a bagel from the cupboard, a bottle of Orange Juice form the refrigerator, and stepped in my car. After many attempts to start it up I was off to school; Anthony the only thing on my mind.
I felt the cool metal of the locker on my bare shoulder as Anthony kissed me on my lips. My hand tangled in the back of his head, and his hands gripped tighter onto my waist. It’s crazy how I always said I would never be the girl skipping classes to hang with a boy, but here I was ditching the last period to spend more time with him before he had to go to practice. This wouldn’t be upsetting if I could stay, but that was a no sadly. Mainly because I had to go home and check everything was booked for when we flew to Boston for the competition.
“You’re going to get me in trouble.” I whispered to him, pulling away slightly. I could still feel his breath on me and smell his Spearmint gum.
“Says the person who texted me to meet them out here.” He moved to my side, taking my hands in his and massaging my knuckles.
I slid down the locker, folding my legs to the side. He followed my lead, sliding down as he muttered how if his pants got dirty I would be grass on the fourth of July-whatever that meant. “First you moved away from me…and then you can’t go to Boston. That’s three entire days without you.”
“I know.” He brought our intertwined hands up to his mouth, kissing them softly. “But it’s only three days. And the moving situation is only for another month. We’ll get through it.”
“I know.” I looked up at the wall, seeing it was going on three twenty0five, meaning only five minutes left of school. “I should probably get back to class.”
