Jelsa (18) He is Hers

It's been so long since I made a one shot. Before I begin, I'd like to point out that the main character (the one who's telling the story) is an OC. She doesn't have a name and I hope you don't get confused.

The school quadrangle was crowded with students. Some were grouped by four to six while the rest were divided by twos that were mostly couples. Most of the occupants were enjoying their free time from school works while others decided to take their textbooks out to study. One among the crowd that was simply enjoying the vacant time was you.

You were laying on the grass with your head resting above your arm, thanking the Gods out there that the field wasn't too prickly nor damp. You were with two other girls who were sitting and talking beside you when a name they uttered made you open your eyes and pay closer attention.

"I heard Jack Frost was the one who sent the prank to Mrs. Ursula last Friday," one of them said to the other. Her name was Violet and she had black hair and brown eyes.

The girl she was talking to was a girl with typical blonde hair and blue eyes named Penny. "Really? Wow. I heard that Mrs. Ursula was super pissed that day. I can't believe that Frost would do such a thing as that."

You've only been enrolled into the school for nearly four months but you knew fully well who they were talking about. You remembered meeting Jack Frost your first day of school, where he encountered you in the hallway when he was running away from the teacher who was trying to catch him. He bumped past you though thankfully, you hadn't fallen on the floor. You remembered the shine in his smiling blue eyes, his unruly white hair (that you found out was natural after asking the right people), and the mischievous smirk on his lips.

He only managed a quick sorry before he dashed off and disappeared around the corner, followed quickly by the teacher who was chasing after him. You remembered how you stood immobile there on the near empty corridor for a moment with your heart thundering against your chest, wondering to yourself who that guy was. It wasn't a week later when you found out that his name was Jack Frost and another week to realize that you have a massive crush on him.

The two girls beside you didn't know about your feelings for the prankster because you didn't want to embarrass yourself in front of them. Being the new girl was hard but crushing on the most sought after guy in the school was a no-no. You didn't want to draw attention to yourself despite that it was a harmless crush — though admittedly massive — on a guy you only met one time. If counting someone saying, 'sorry' briskly was enough to acknowledge as a first meeting.

You sighed and pulled yourself up in a sitting position, saying to them, "Honestly, I don't know why you're so surprised that Frost's responsible for it. He's the biggest troublemaker in the school. I'd be more surprise if it was Hiccup."

Hiccup was his best pal. You knew that since the other 'informants' tended to give you additional information about him.

Suddenly, both girls sported a playful grin that was aimed at you. You immediately straightened your spine, wary at their suspicious behavior.

"You haven't been here for a year but you already know so much about our resident hunk and prankster," said Penny teasingly. "Admit it, do you have a crush on him?"

"W-what?!" You sputtered and felt mortified to feel the rush of warmth to your cheeks. "I don't! I don't have a crush on him!"

"Oh, come on." This time, it was Violet who was taking the pleasure in teasing you. "Just admit that you have a crush on him. I mean, you won't certainly be the first girl who ever liked him."
