When Harry arrived at his sister's house, tears were already streaming down his face and he was an absolute mess. Gemma already opened the door before Harry could even knock. He walked into her house and sat on the couch with his head in his hands.
"What happened?" She asked sitting down next to him.
"Y/N... she broke up with me," he sniffed wiping his hands over his face.
She sighed wrapping her arms around him and he laid his head on her shoulder as he cried. She rubbed his back and let him cry for a few moments before breaking the silence.
"Did something happen?" She whispered.
He sighed. "It's a long story."
"I've got time," she said.
He ran his hand through his hair and leaned back against the couch looking up at the ceiling.
"We found out... she found out that she may not be able to have children of her own," he said. "She was in a lot of pain and after tests... they concluded that. I could tell it was bothering her, but I didn't know what else to say to help her. She said she was breaking up with me because she didn't want me to end up regretting being with her whenever I wanted kids and couldn't have them with her. "
"I told her I didn't care and that I'd rather be with her, but she went ahead and made her decision," he said.
"I'm sure if you give it a few days... you can talk to her," she said. "She's probably scared."
"Which is why I should be with her," he sniffled. "She shouldn't be going through this alone. I flew home early just so I could be with her and this happens."
"I know, I know," she whispered. "It's super late, why don't you try and get some rest. We can talk more in the morning."
"I just wish there was a way I could prove to her that I'd never regret her," he whispered.
"I know and maybe in a few days once you've both calmed down you can talk to her and let her know how you feel. She probably was so in her mind that she was breaking up with you for you, she didn't want to prolong it anymore for fear of not going through with it," Gemma said.
"I wish she would have," he sniffled.
"Here, I'll make you some tea and set you up in the spare bedroom," she said.
"Are you sure?" He sighed. "I can drive to my place."
"Harry, I think we both know you're in no shape to drive," she said. "Or be alone."
He nodded in defeat while Gemma warmed up some water. Harry took out his phone and saw the photo of you on his lock screen. He unlocked his phone and went to his messages. He hovered your name and thought about sending a text to let you know how much he loved you and cared about you and for you to reconsider, but for some reason, his fingers wouldn't move.
His sister brought over his tea and while he let it cool he walked to the spare bedroom. He took off his hoodie and pulled the blankets back on the bed. Gemma brought in extra pillows and then wrapped her arms around her brother in a huge hug.
"I'm glad you're home, but I'm sorry you're going through this," she whispered.

Jess made it over to your flat within the hour. She didn't even knock and just let herself in with her key. You were curled up in a ball on the couch, bawling your eyes out over your decision to break up with Harry. Looking back now, you regretted it, but you knew you would, you just didn't know how much.
