relationship problems?

that struck a little too close to home. i was in hot water with daniel and jack. both of them have been distancing themselves from me after i heard jack snap in the middle of the night while him and daniel were talking.

it was really frustrating, but this morning, something was different.

"hey zach?" daniel called me over. i hesitantly approached him. "could you do me a favor?"

the sincerity in his eyes was baffling since i could have sworn he hated me.

"yeah, sure," i replied. he lowered his tone and whispered in my ear.
"could you please be friends with jack again?"

what?

"zach, i know it's not that easy, but jack hasn't been his normal self lately."

daniel was asking me to cheer up jack. daniel asking me to somehow rebuild all that lost trust. daniel asking me to do the impossible, but the dumb impulsive part of me just couldn't pass it up.
