i woke up to someone puking in the bathroom. i woke up to jack hurling his guts out in the toilet.

"jack, are you alright?" i asked as i kneeled down next to him and combed his hair back with my fingers. he momentarily stopped to answer me.

"daniel, i haven't been getting enough sleep lately and i've been having to wake up earlier than ever because i've been throwing up," jack ranted before going back to retching.

i continued to stroke his auburn hair back. i stepped back as he finished emptying all the contents of his stomach before wiping his lips and then washing his hands and face.

jack rose to his full height and dizzily stood up. he unexpectedly lost his balance, i grabbed him brought him in close.

"you okay?" i ask.
"yeah," he mumbles. "just tired,"

i nod in undestanding as we head to my bunk. he slipped in first and i climbed in with him. his head rested on my chest as he dozed off.

"maybe you should see a doctor," i hum. "yeah, maybe," jack sleepily susurrates before he edges into sleep.
