we had a long day with the concerts and fans. so daniel and i were cuddling in his bed, doing absolutely nothing but listening to the soft exhale of our breaths and white noises the boys made.

i contentedly snuggled into his chest as daniel's hands traced up and down my sides. he scribbled imaginary illustrations on my back and whispered sweet nothings into my ears.

"you're so beautiful, jack," his lips brushed my ear. a blush formed on my cheeks.

"you're amazing, jack, i'm so blessed to have you," the words floated around in my head and made me feel like putty in his hands.

"jack, daniel?" zach's voice reverberated through the room and snapped us out of our daydream.

daniel pulled the sheets up to cover me and i moved my head from his chest. i heard the soft swish of the curtain on my bunk. then ours got pulled back too.

"oh.. hey," zach stuttered. he felt uncomfortable seeing us like this and we haven't told the boys.

"uhm, corbyn wanted to ask if you guys wanted to go out to the mall with them," zach couldn't look me in the eye and daniel was exasperated.

daniel secured me in his arms. "no, we'd like to stay in the van today," daniel replied in a voice that was not much louder than the one he was using earlier.

"o-okay," zach hurriedly closed the stretch of black fabric and left.

we reaumed our position from earlier. my head rested on daniel's front and i could hear the soft thump of his heart against his rib cage.

"jack?" daniel combed through my hair and massaged my scalp.

"hmm?" i sleepily murmured.

"are you and zach ever going to be friends the way it used to?" daniel whispered through the dim of the cot.

i hesitated before answering, it was all a matter of time.

"i don't know, i might never forgive him, but i have a strong feeling i will,"

daniel rubbed circles of my back before pecking my lips.

"good, i don't like seeing you sad,"
