there was something off about jack when he walked out of the hallway. he didn't say anything to me when i asked him if he was okay. he just ran his hands through his hair, opened his mouth to say something then closed it.

we called an über to go to jimmy johns. jack was strangely quiet. he twiddled his thumbs and stared out the window, looking everywhere but me.

then, out of the blue, he faced me, inches away from my ears. jack's lips moved and his voice was barely audible. nothing could prepare me for what he said next.

"i'm pregnant, dani,"
