I had to create it three times to get it perfect-ish.

The first time I made the mochi too thick, which resulted in a decrease of ice cream. The mochi portions were also too small.



The second attempt: I didn't microwave the mixture long enough. It resulted in a doughy mixture that would still stick even with starch.




I got the third batch right. Flattening it down with a rolling pin is so satisfying because you get to see feel the smooth and thin texture.

They look more like dumplings tbh. I used vanilla ice cream (slow churned) so that's probably why. I like the mango and matcha one a lot.
