Eyyyy look, I got another gunpla! This time it's the red guy with the samurai sword! In REAL GRADE!
This is the first real grade model I have ever done and in case if you don't know what a real grade is, it is a recently created grade that takes the endoskeletal frame of the Master Grade and gives it a 1/144 of the high grades. So it's basically a Master Grade in 1/144 scale.
Now let's get to the showcase!
I always loved the RG box art because they are pretty much similar other than switching out text and models. Plus the large view of the head... looks amazing.
Stickers are nice. Right now I only put on the silver sheath things because I want to panel line the parts and currently I'm on vacation so I left my Gundam marker at home.
Lemme say this, my house has cuticle side cutters but my relative's house has none. Fun. I used a utility knife to cut the sprues. I also used a cheap vinyl case as my cutting mat. Lowkey I legit need to get a cutting mat.
So here's the Red Frame. As of now I lost the second beam saber. I think my baby cousin misplaced it rip. I also broke the v-fin connector to place a sticker on, but I repaired it with super glue.
Anyways, DAMN IS THAT REAL GRADE POSABLE!!! The elbow joints seem loose but they hold on very greatly. I think it had to do with the loosening of the joints prior to assembly. The ball and socket joints are really tight as hell though. That's really good for posing the arms in a direction other than down.
The manual has a photo of the Gundam doing fighting poses beside the sword and stuff. So I did a simple fighting pose everyone would do.
I then emulated the pose that was on the manual.
Kudos to you if you know what pose I was trying to emulate above.
The best part of the model was me having a lot of time turning it into a weird tank thing.
I remember uploading this on a discord server and the members were like "WTF???"
I'll make another chapter with the Astray Red Frame poses.
