Note: I highly suggest you to reread or at least skim through chapter twelve because it has been such a long time since my last update. So, please go refresh your memory because you might not understand a small part of this chapter without the last one. I had a little hint in chapter twelve that plays part in this chapter.

Chapter Twelve recap:

They pushed me into the van and I heard the door slam shut. The two men didn’t immediately get into the van, but instead I hear them talking outside.

“Do we bring her to the location now?” One of them said.

“No, he said to bring her there once he called us.” The other replied. He sounds like the one that picked me up. I could recognize his voice. It was deeper and more intimidating.

“Give her the injection now, man.” The skinny one said.

“You watch out for our surrounding.” He replied.

Then I heard the van door slide open. I immediate backed away as far as possible. That didn’t do me any good. The stronger guy grabbed my arms, pulling me closer towards him.

“Don’t move, bitch.” He spat. Next thing I felt was the prick of a needle in my arm and the feeling of something being injected. “There, that should shut you up now.”

I heard the door slam closed again. And the voices outside started to become blurry. I was slowly falling into unconsciousness. I fought for as long as I can to stay awake, but there was no use.

Chapter Thirteen

I felt the car moving on a bumpy road, so bumpy that it doesn’t even feel like a concrete road, but more of a dirt road. Wait a minute, if I can feel this, that only means I’m conscious and that it is not a dream. I open my eyes, but all I see is darkness. I realize that the blindfold is still wrapped around my head, but it isn’t as tight as it was earlier.

I don’t know what time it is or where I am at. I could have been sedated for hours or it could have been only half and hour or so. As I turn my body, I feel both my hands and feet tied. I could try unknotting the ropes on my ankles that bound my feet together, but I think clearly through my plan.

If I do free myself from these thick ropes, what would I do next? What would my next step be? What are my possible actions?

I decided to feel my way around the surrounding; in case I get the chance to escape, I would at least have somewhat of an advantage. I started off by scooting to my right side. I feel my way around the van and in the corner, I find my purse.

An euphoric feeling rushed through me, knowing what I have inside. I open it up and blindly searched for my pocket knife that I had always kept around for my own safety, especially at times when I felt threatened. This thing finally came in handy.
