Chapter Ten

I woke up the next day to sunlight shining through the balcony window, despite the curtains that did minimal to block the rays. Last night was amazing even though everything that happened at the restaurant was a blur. I would admit that I had a glass or two of wine because it was technically legal in Canada for me to drink. I know that a wine or two would not be enough to make someone drunk, but I'm weak and it was my first taste of any alcohol. I could still clearly remember everything else though. It was practically perfect.

Someone knocked on the door of the bedroom. "Come in." I said, drowsily under the covers that shielded me from the sun.

"Rise and shine beautiful." Adam said walking in half naked; all he's wearing is his briefs. My eyes widen and brought me to my full attention. He pulled open the curtains, blinding me even more.

"Oh my gosh!" I yelled, pulling the covers above my head again. "Put some clothes on!"

"Don't act like you're not enjoying it." He said, amused. Even though I couldn't see him, I could tell he had a smirk on his face.

I felt one side of the bed lump inward. Adam slow removed the sheet from my face. "I have good news and bad news." He said seriously.

"What is it?" I asked, now somewhat concerned.

"Do you want to hear the good news or bad news first?"

"Bad news." I said without a doubt. The bad news first will always be cushioned with the good news later.

Adam sighed. "Bad news is that I have to leave New York tonight, because the band is really busy with upcoming stuff for the new album. As much as I love to stay here with you, it's not an option."

A wave of sadness washed over me. I actually had enjoyed his company the past few days and it won't be the same without him around. It meant my life would be back to normal.

"Aww, don't give me that look. Here's the good news okay?" Adam smiled.

I nodded, smiling back, hoping the good news would be able to make up for the sad news.

Adam's hand reached over to the side of my face and brushed away a few strands of hair behind my ear. "Remember when I told you how I felt about you? When I told you that you're beautiful and I won't stop until you'll believe me?" I nodded in reply. Our conversation just took complete 180° turn. It went from a normal conversation to extremely serious.

"Well this might sound selfish," he began, "but I can't imagine someone else calling you their girlfriend other than me." I gave Adam a wide smile as I figured out what is about to happen.

"Eleanor, would you give me the honor to call you my girlfriend?" Adam asked, holding my hands.

"Of course, Adam!" I replied immediately, unable to stop smiling.

Adam wrapped his arms around me in a warm embrace as I did the same. My world continues to become even more unbelievable. I now have a boyfriend and I never thought that this would happen in a million years. "I love you." He said placing a quick kiss on my cheek. His beard tickling me a little.

I looked into his hazel eyes and replied back, "I love you, too."

"Hey listen," he said, "I'm busy for majority of today, but I think I might be able to squeeze in some time for us tonight."

"Okay," I replied, "I have a few errands to run today too. I guess I'll see you tonight?"

"Yeah," he pecked me on the forehead, "See you later." Adam left back into his room to get ready for whatever he had planned.
