Chapter Four
Adam’s POV
I watched her as she walk down the hallway of the hotel lobby. She is leaving for New York but I would never know if we would ever see each other again. I didn’t even know if I would ever hear her voice again. All I was hoping for is that she would keep her word and call me when she had arrived.
After she disappeared from my sight, I headed back into my room for a shower. I turned on the warm water to clear my head. The warm water always made me feel somewhat better. I quickly got dressed afterwards because I needed to meet up with the rest of the band to continue recording a song for our new album.
The entire drive to the studio, my mind was filled with Eleanor. The way she smiles, the way she pushes her hair behind her ear, the way she stares off in space whenever she’s thinking. I can’t keep my mind off of her. She’s beyond beautiful. The next few days are going to be really hard without Eleanor.
I stop at a stoplight and receive a call. I got excited hoping for a split second that it could be her. I took out the phone from my pocket. It was from James. I pick up the phone. “Hey, whats up man?”
“Are you here yet?” He asked, sounding a little worried.
“I’m coming. Almost there. Give me five more minutes.” I replied, before hanging up.
The rest of the drive to the studio went by pretty quickly. I walked into the studio and headed onto the sixteenth floor. When I arrived into our recording studio, everyone was already there waiting for me.
“About time!” James said, springing up from his seat on the couch. “Where have you been? You’re like thirty minutes late!”
“Sorry guys, I was busy.” I replied, looking down. Technically, I wasn’t lying. I was actually kind of busy. “Let’s get started.” I added to change the subject.
We recorded from ten in the morning until lunch. We all decided to go out for lunch together at a nearby Italian restaurant. The rest of the guys walked into the restaurant in front of me as Jesse and I walked behind everyone.
“So, who’s the girl?” Jesse asked out of nowhere.
“What are you talking about?” I scoffed, trying to pretend like I had no idea what he was talking about.
“Adam, I know you too well. I can tell when something’s up with my best friend.” Jesse said.
I knew he wasn’t going to stop asking until he found out who she was. It wasn’t like I didn’t trust him, the only problem was how would he react and I didn’t even know who Eleanor was to me. She certainly isn’t my girlfriend, at least not yet.
“She’s just a friend.” I shrugged like it was no big deal, but it was the complete opposite of that. It felt like she is really important to me. The feelings that I have for her was different with any other women I’ve been with. Although I have only knew her for a day, she’s just so special.
