Kaitlin

I spent the whole day with Theo yesterday and her sister, Thalia. They're both really close. It's amazing really. I came home by 10 at Chandee's and she freaked out on me.

"WHERE THE EFF HAVE YOU BEEN?" Chandee asked once I came in. Before answering, I took off my shoes first.

"I don't know the exact place but I stayed at an abandoned park." I calmly said to her.

She huffed. "You didn't even bother to call." She sat down in frustration.

"I wanted to be away for some hours. I got embarrassed for leaving you guys. Couldn't swallow my pride and talk to you. I was ashamed." I sat down on the recliner. "Do they know?"

She shook her head. "We didn't tell them. We knew you wouldn't have wanted that. What did you do at the park?"

"Thought things out. I even met two people in the process." I said to her as she gave me a look of confusion. "It's funny even cause an 11 year old helped me change my mind."

"Really?" I nod and she continues. "I hope that mind of yours got it now. He got it." That stopped me from answering quickly. "He got what it means."

"How?"

"He first figured out the last 5 letters and the first ones, not so much. He got it all mixed up so that got him confused. He didn't know how it was written because there wasn't any date on it until it dawned on him." She explains to me and I just listened to her. "He didn't knew what to feel though and after that never talked the rest of the way."

I nod in understanding. "Wow, I'm now blank on what to do."

"They have a performance on Saturday. You can think by then because we are going." She bids me goodnight and went straight to her room without waiting for my answer. Well, damn.

I woke up and the blinds were blinding me. I swear I shut them off. I groaned unladylike.

"Glad you're awake." Someone said, startling me to death. I jumped and fell on my bed. "Good morning." Chris said while trying to keep his laugh.

I glared at him. "Not really. Help me up." He chuckled but helped me up. "What are you doing here at-" I looked at the clock first. "7:30 in the morning?"

He shrugged. "I went somewhere early a while ago and Cee told me you're here so I had to check."

"I'm not a kid."

"Yeah but you ran away yesterday." He said and I sighed.

I faced him. "I know and I'm sorry. I didn't mean it for that to happen." I started fixing my bed sheets. There was no way I could sleep again.

"And I know that too. You just got me worried." He said. "He looked horrible you know." Chris told me as he sat where he previously sat.

"What do you mean?" I asked him.

"He just looked horrible. Some people won't see it but I did. His eyes confirms it. There was sadness in it. He couldn't even look me in the eye when he said he was happy. Oh, I got your journal here. You left it yesterday." My eyes went wide.

"Did he saw it?"

He shook his head and I released a breath. "No, I know you won't let it. What are you going to do? Cee said you're going next Saturday?"

I nod. "She just basically told me about and said I was going. I don't even know what to do. I'm blank after that."

"I suggest you reconcile with him." He muttered thoughtfully. "It's what both of your heart wants anyway. I don't see what's the problem with it. You have to act up on in sometime while you still have this chance. You'll never know what you have until you lose every single memory. Yeah, you didn't lose it before but it can happen anytime soon and that one will be truly permanent. The heart may just be a beating organ but you know what? It chooses people as well much even better than our mind does. That's why you need both to choose what your true desire is and I know that you know what your heart truly desires and I think you should follow it. Don't let your past haunt and taunt you. It's the past. If it comes back, then at least there's someone that you can lean on. Someone will be there to be your trusty rock. You'll feel pain too. That's normal. Life isn't perfect and will never be perfect but we just have to live with it." He smiled slightly at me. "There's nothing wrong with thinking it through but you already have your answer. Don't treat it as a spur of the moment thing. It was there right from the start." He nods in my direction and went out of the room. People keeps on leaving me with hanging words. Unfair but I know Chris is right. How in the world am I going to do this? I hate being innocent.
