"please do everything," taehyung begged before the nurse closed the doors. he felt too weak, so he just let himself fall on his knees. ara was just behind him, she caressed her brother's shoulder. "she'll be alright," ara reassured.
she herself did not feel good about it. their mom's life was really in risk. all they could do is pray and accept whatever the rest would be. but ara did not want her brother to feel down. "i know mom, she's strong." she added. taehyung looked at her and ara just smiled.
"did the patient come with anybody?" the doctor asked the nurse. taehyung and ara approached the doctor in a quick manner. "we're her children," taehyung muttered, pain was visibly heard from his voice.
"okay, i don't wanna start in here. but cancer cells are everywhere in your mom's body. and there's nothing i can say but.. it's bad. we have to operate her or you'll have to bid your goodbyes," the doctor explained. taehyung's heart broke in pieces. tears wanted to fall from his eyes. but he had to be strong for his mom.
"will the operation be safe?" taehyung managed to ask. "we have no certainty in that. but we could try our best," the doctor answered. ara on the other side was not able to hold it in. she cupped herself and cried silently. but as her brother, taehyung heard it all.
"please give us some time to think, doctor." taehyung pleased that the doctor nodded to. "i have to go now, but you can come inside. she's still unconscious but she'll wake up later on," the doctor vocalized before leaving.
taehyung caressed his younger sister's back, trying to lessen her cries. "you said she'll be fine, right?" taehyung muttered, sticking his lips together to stop his urge to cry. ara nodded, then she wiped her tears little by little. "let's go, she may be waiting." ara uttered with a smile.
but taehyung knew all the lies laying in that smile. they both headed on the intensive care unit room. the sight that welcomed them was the worse. their mom had like six wires connected on her, bruises were seen everywhere as a sign of the cancer cells spreading.
"we have to be strong," taehyung uttered before holding ara's hand tightly. ara's head was bowed down, but she managed to nod.
