"can you come with me? i really need help," said ara. bora nodded, "of course, ara." smiled bora then helped ara stand and get on her crutches. ara felt bad for lying but she just thought of the smile bora and jeongguk would have afterwards.
when they reached the rooftop, ara wasn't disappointed when jeongguk was already sitting on the bench. jeongguk leaned when he heard the door, he was shocked to see bora.
bora was shocked too. bora always knew jeongguk had his guts on her, it's not that she ignored him, but he was just not her type and she knew jeongguk deserves someone else.
"i-i have to go.." bora said but ara stopped her, "no, please stay. he has some things to say," ara said while holding on her hand.
"but i really cannot," said bora. ara shook her head in disagreement, "you can. please?" ara pleased. bora was left with no choice. so she walked on the bench and sat. but not beside him.
jeongguk looked at ara, she looked different. not that she had puffy eyes or thick lips all of a sudden, but her expressions were just not the same. she was smiling but it felt different.
ara mouthed: "go on! fighting!" to jeongguk before leaning her back and walking away. so jeongguk leaned back and stared at the skies.
"i'm really sorry. kim ara is a compulsive piece of cheese," started jeongguk that bora laughed. wow, that laugh. jeongguk thought, remembering all the feelings he used to feel when bora would laugh on jokes other guys would crack.
"it's okay. i'm sorry too. you know, for everything i've done to you in the past." said bora. jeongguk smiled, "it's nothing. they were lessons and embarrassing pictures in my album," said jeongguk.
bora felt proud of how much jeongguk have changed. he was indeed a grown man now. "h-how are you doing?" asked bora.
"i'm fine, i feel happy. but i still think ara is dumb," answered jeongguk. "what do you think of ara?" asked bora then looked at jeongguk.
a smile was painted on his mouth, "she's annoying and really noisy. she may be super duper dumb at times, but she could also be very genius and fucking deep. she's a girl hard to find out," said jeongguk.
and that's where bora felt it. jeongguk had his guts on ara now. "why don't you start moving?" asked bora, but jeongguk didn't understand.
"where would i move? i still can't walk," said jeongguk. "no, i meant why not tell her?" said bora.
while those two were having fun, or as how ara could see it, she was leaning on the gray door, looking at them laughing and sharing smiles at each other.
ara had seen that smile that jeongguk was giving bora, but it felt different. jeongguk was indeed still into bora.
ara was shocked when she suddenly tasted something bitter. she held her cheeks and felt that some parts of it were wet. tears had been falling and she wasn't able to feel a thing.
she laughed while wiping her tears that were invincible, "stupid." told ara to herself.
