"okay, i can do this!" cheered ara for herself. she has been staring at her crutches for more than an hour and when she finally found the strength and confidence to use her pair of crutches, she stood up and quickly pinned the crutches on her armpits.
she held on them tight and slowly took small steps. the nurse offered ara help but ara declined. she does not want seokjin to see her struggling.
when she was on her way to the rooftop, a lot of patients, visitors and hospital staffs saw ara. but to lessen the embarrassment, she managed to give them a smile. walking in crutches made ara weak.
usually, when ara would feel weak, before she even feels it more, taehyung would be there to hug her and help her. but she had no one anymore but herself.
after a few walks, she could finally see the gray door. but she already felt tired. she stopped and pressed hardly on her crutches. with that, she shut her eyes tightly; seeing a picture of her with her mom and taehyung.
ara was crying because of a scar she had from her friend pushing her. she felt weak, and hated it. "it's okay to feel weak, but not all the time. i promise to stay by your side forever and prevent you from feeling weak. but when the time comes that you're already a grown up lady and maybe avoid me, you will have to prevent your weakness instead." adviced taehyung then gave ara a smile.
"but how do i prevent my weakness?" asked ara. taehyung smiled, "that's easy. keep telling to yourself 'i can do this! i can't let this affect my life,'" answered her older brother.
ara smiled, "i believe you can do everything, kim ara. you grew up with a really handsome and strong brother, i'm sure he taught you some things. you can do everything as long as you put your mind into it," vocalized mrs. kim.
a big smile was drawn from ara's mouth. her brother and mother's advice were indeed helpful and ara will keep those words in her forever as she would be able to use it on the future.
