Part 3. The Sleepover

It was about 5:00 pm when Yuri and Natsuki returned to Yuri's place. Yuri was excited, this wasn't something she'd done before, she has had her friends over, but not for a sleepover, that was something new for her. Natsuki was just received not to face her abuse asshole of a father again, not tonight.

When they pulled into the garage, Yuri hopped out and held Natsuki's door open for her.

"Why thank you mam!"

"No problem dearie!"

They liked to talk fancy at each other for a joke.

They went inside the house, welcome by a warm and darker yet modern interior. "Feel free to take off your shoes," Yuri offered. "I'm taking mine off."

Natsuki giggled and smirked at Yuri. "What else ye takin' off girly girl?" (Insert Lenny face. I'm going to hell for this😂)

Yuri froze and her face turned red. "U-uhh, th-tha-that's it."

Natsuki laughed and nudged her friend. "You shoulda seen your face though! Oh Yuri! You know I'm just playing, the way you said it made me wanna make that joke."

Yuri felt so much better. "R-right."

They settled in the house and sat on the black, leather couch together. Yuri turned on the tv for Natsuki to watch as she read her book. Yuri hardly ever watched tv, so she didn't care what Natsuki picked to watch.

"Reading instead of tv? Dang, that book must be good if you're missing out on anime!"

"Yeah, I'm pretty far into it, and it get more interesting as you progress to read it. I'm in a very good part, and I really want to read it."

Natsuki thought. "Well, in the choice between listening to you talk about a book or watching anime, I'll take the second.

Yuri smiled and turned down at her book. "I figured you would."

An hour later, the two were deciding on dinner.

"You like sushi, right Yuri?"

"Yeah, I actually know a place we're you can have fresh rolls delivered. So if you want that, I could recommend it. They make em fresh and deliver them chilled."

"Really?! Awesome! Let's do it then!" 

Yuri made the order while Natsuki continued watching anime. The sushi came around 6:30, and they brought it to the living room, informally eating it in there.

"Well, what else should we do?"

"Uhh, I don't know, and ideas? You're my guest for the night."

"Well, this might sound childish, but we could try to do each other's hair."

"Okay, sounds fun actually."

"Okay, should we do it in a bathroom or something?"

"Nah, we can just do it in here."

Natsuki did Yuri's hair first, she tried to make Yuri's hair into a bun, but the end product was a little messy. When Yuri looked at it in the mirror, she rather liked it; the messy bun was pleasing to her eyes, with strands of long hair hanging from either side; it looked beautiful.

"Aright, my turn, but close your eyes until I give you a mirror ok?"

"M'kay, but why?"

"I want to surprise you."

As Natsuki shut her eyes, Yuri began to work on her hair, putting in two low, simple pigtails, using her red ribbons to tie them. Then grabbed a special headband with cat ears on it and placed it on the little tsundere's head.

Yuri placed the mirror in Natsuki's hands. "Okay! Open!"

When Natsuki opened her eyes, she was speechless, shaking the mirror in her hands as she looked at how perfectly neat each short pigtail was, and the sparkly, cat eared headband on her head.

"I-Yuri, It's, it's, I LOVE IT! IT'S PERFECT! I'M A NEKO NOW!"

"Heh, I knew you'd like it."

Natsuki squealed and jumped around the room in her new hairstyle.

After she started to calm down, she turned back to Yuri.

"I kinda wanna watch a movie with you, horror movies are your fave right?"

"Yeah, they're interesting to me, the plots are usually well thought out."

"Well then let's watch one!"

Yuri picked the movie, and they watched it when it was around 8:00 in the dark. When it was over, because it ended at midnight, Natsuki was a little freaked out.

"Alright, well, I think we should go to bed."

"Uhh, Yuri? Can I sleep with you?"

"Fine, come here lil buddy."

The two got situated in Yuri's queen-sized bed, Yuri on the left side and Natsuki on the right.

Tomorrow was a new day for the pair.
