❛It came from inside my heart, baby
When you made it open
Every last note
Stems from the hope
You'll say you love me too.❜

"Now, where were we?" Asher says as he opens the door of the Uber they ordered. Phoebe clambers into the berry coloured car, Asher following shortly after. The drive is short, the two making small conversation with the driver, holding hands the whole way. They couldn't have been in the Uber for longer than five minutes, could they?

"Where are we going?" she raises her brow, waiting for his response but is met with nothing more than a quick peck before he is pulling her out of the car.

"Thank you, have a good night," Phoebe voices in a somewhat rushed manner because of how Asher is pulling her arm with urgency.

The driver chuckles, "You too ma'am," before looking out the back window and then pulling out into traffic.

Despite it being somewhat early, around 11 or so, Asher is rushing to pull Phoebe with him towards the grandeur hotel with the doorman waiting to open the excessively large door for them. Phoebe laughs at his childish antics and lets him pull her along, feeling excitement bubble away in the depths of her stomach despite not knowing what lay ahead of her.

That was the thing with Asher, he was unpredictable. Ever since Phoebe had known him, she had always felt this pull to him and his spontaneity, basking in the uncertainty of it all. Phoebe knew that when life seemed too routine, too regular, Asher would always surprise her in the best possible ways. It was one of the many reasons that she loved him.

"Why the rush?" Phoebe turns her head so that she's looking at the side of his head to whisper this.

Asher does the same so that they're now looking at each other in this large empty elevator with nothing but their whispers and the gentle hum of the elevator's mechanics to be heard.

"Because I'm sick of other people, I just want to be alone with you," Phoebe instantly feels the butterflies stir up in her stomach a mix of excitement and nervousness. But yet she plays it cool and confident instead of the wreck she feels like on the inside.

"Asher Davis, are you trying to seduce me?"

Instead of being nervous and embarrassed Asher just goes along with her confidence, there's no point pretending they're not comfortable with one another, "Oh trust me, you'd know if I was trying to seduce you."
