((Thorins POV))
I carried an unconscious Melody through the long path, I held her tightly to me as to not let her get scratched by the close stone walls. We came out to an open vally. "Rivendell..." I heard Bilbo say. I turned and glared at Gandalf. "This was your plan all along? To seek refuge with our enemy?" I glared at Gandalf. "You have no enemies here, Thorin Oakenshield. The only ill will here is that you bring yourself." Gandalf said walking past me. I looked down at Melody, curled up in my arms. I felt guilty....as though this was my fault. I wiped a tear away from under her eyes and noticed that the bruise was gone. I sighed and hugged her close to me as we descended down the path into Rivendell.
We got there and where greeted by an Elf. I went and stood next to Gandalf. "Where is Lord Elrond?" Handled asked just as the elves where returning. I looked down at Melody and was soon was brought back into the conversation. "Thorin, son of Thrain. Pleasure to meet you." Lord Elrond said looking to me. "Who is this?" He said gesturing to Melody. I hugged her tighter, "This is Melody Claw, she is a Faerie." Gandalf said, "She has been injured....she needed to be treated." Lord Elrond nodded and a Elven man came and tried to take her from me. "Don't touch her!" I shouted. "Thorin....she needs to be treated...let him take her." Dwalin said behind me. I reluctantly handed her to him. "Take care of her..." I said looking at the Elf, he nodded in reply. I watched him carry her away and I felt my heart drop.
((Melody's POV))
I woke up and felt a pain in my leg. I cringed and layed a hand on it feeling it was bandaged. "Hello, I see you are awake." I turned to see an Elf come into my room with a bowl of water and a towel. "Yes...I am." She smiled and gently began dabbing my forehead with the damped towel. "If it's not to much to ask...may I take a bath?" I asked slightly embarrassed at the question. "Of course, come." She handed me her arm and I took it, I floated in the air and flew very slowly along side her. I felt searing pain in my leg and groaned. "I will bring something to help the pain later. For now, bathe to your hearts content." The elven woman said before opening a door to see an outdoor bath. The watcher was steaming slightly and I was blown away at the beauty of the view. "Can anyone see me?" I asked a bit worried about taking a bathe here though it looked heavenly. "No, you are alone." She said. The elf left me with my own thoughts.
I found a corner where where was a mirror and undressed. I looked at my body, but my full attention was on my leg. It was bandaged and bruised, there where random cuts all around my body. I made my wings dissolve so they would not get wet. I admired my body....I turned to look at my back in the mirror. I looked to see small vine like birthmarks forming around where my wings would be.
I turned and slowly started to walk into the water. I felt a sting on where the bandage was but soon it went away and all I felt was bliss. I swam around happily and went to a small waterfall that was filling the pond like bath. I ran my head under it, washing away all of the dirt and mud out of my hair. I felt happy to see it actually white again, with all the dirt it was an odd brownish color. I sunk down until my nose was just above the water. I was in bliss.
"Enjoying the bathe?" I jumped to see the elven woman. I covered myself under water and nodded. "It's amazing!" I said smiling. She left a robe for when I was done, nodded and left.
I swam a while before slowly getting out. I wrapped the robe around my small form and noticed all my clothes where gone. "She must have taken them..." I mumbled to myself. I walked down the hall and admired the view of the vally. I suddenly ran right into someone and landed on the floor. "Melody!" I heard Thorin's voice and looked to see him kneeling down. He wrapped his arms under my butt and around my waist lifting me off the ground and setting me on my feet. "Thorin...I missed you." I said as I impulsively hugged him. I felt his arm wrap around me and hugged me tight. "I missed you too...I was coming to find you." I blushed and looked up at him.
