Chorong
What's happening? Why is Hyunjin here? I couldn't move at the place that I was standing on."Chorong, this is Hyunjin. He is my boyfriend." Hayoung told me as they came back. She giggled, clinging on his arm."Why don't you both talk while I get ready?"
"Ya, Hayoung-ah." Hyunjin said, but Hayoung didn't even stop. He sighed."So, how did you meet her?" He was asking me, but I can't talk. I don't know what to say. He nodded then crossed his arms."How are you?" He asked me, a different question.
I bit my lower lip, stopping myself from crying."Why?" I asked him. He avoided my gaze and also, my question. He awkwardly looked around."Answer me. When did you came back? I thought, you were in abroad." I told him.
"I am sorry that you had to suffer from it but I already told you before why I wanted to leave." He replied, without even hesitating. I laughed at what he just said. Hyunjin laughed, awkwardly."Is there something funny?"He asked me.
"There is."I paused then walked towards him."You are funny. I was never affected about anything that happened to us."I said, crossing my arms. Well, I am lying but I need to face him. He approached me then patted me on my arm. I moved away from him, keeping distance.
Hyunjin sighed."Okay, I told you before that I wanted to go abroad. You didn't let me go and I had to go, secretly. Everything was fine then you found out. You kept on telling me that it won't work. While I was there, I met -"
"Hayoung."
"Yeah, and -"
"You never replied to me. You could've told me before that you don't want being in a relationship with me, before."I said. Well, I was discouraging him when he went to abroad. That is my fault but I don't want to admit because my pride won't let me. He grabbed my arm and pulled me towards him."Will you let me go?"He asked me.
I pushed him away then cleared my throat."Ofcourse." I told him. Hyunjin nodded and stood there thinking what he should do next while I am awkwardly looking around. Our relationship was complicated. We don't do relationship goals."Do you read the messages I sent you?"I asked him.
"I do. Last time you sent me one is when you talked about your new job in a company. You did well."He told me with a smile. I nodded, then told him that it was Mark's company. He immediately showed interest."He accepted you?"Hyunjin asked.
Actually, Hyunjin is one of Mark's bestfriends."Yeah, he accepted me."I answered his question. A stranger walked towards us and told that Hayoung is looking for us. Hyunjin gestured me to follow him and so I did."Are you still in contact with Mark?" I asked him.
"Yeah."He simply replied."But, he never told me that you were in his company."
Hayoung saw us and stood up from her chair."So, what happened?" She asked me. I glanced at Hyunjin who is currently talking with another stranger. She grabbed my hand and dragged me to her chair. "You can tell it to me, later. Can you do her make up and hair too, unnie?"Hayoung asked another stranger.
While the stranger was doing my make up, she complimented me a lot and I don't know how to deal with compliments. It was finally done. Hayoung was beside me the whole time, checking on me."Hyunjinnie, come and look at Chorong."She said as she dragged Hyunjin to me.
He stared for a while then nodded."But, we need to start now."Hyunjin told Hayoung and went outside. She showed me a thumbs up while looking at me in the mirror."I forgot to tell you that Hyunjin is also my photographer."Hayoung said then went outside as well.
A few minutes later, I heard my phone ring."Where are you?" Chanyeol asked from the other line. I told him that I am at the Han River then he asked why I am here? I answered."I met Hyunjin." Chanyeol was silent for a while then asked about my job."I got fired. Anyway, I will go home later but don't tell mom that I lost my job."I told him and ended the call.
