A message notification pop out from the screen of Mark's phone, I couldn't ignore it. We are in the drive thru of McDonald's and planned eating in the car since Mark wanted to go somewhere and it would take a long ride.

'Where are you?Your father called me.' Hayoung texted him.

"What do you want?" Mark asked, causing me to look away from his phone.

"Oh, I think I'd like to have three crispy chicken sandwich and a monster float." I said, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear since a lot of them was irritating my face. He was looking at me then told the lady my order."What?"

Mark drove to the next counter."You are not going to eat rice?" He asked, stopping the car. I nodded, as I pointed my index finger across his face to tell him that our order is up."Here."

He gave me the paper bag which had my order. I grabbed my coke float and took a sip of it."Oh, what is this?" I asked him as he gave me another paper bag.

Mark started driving as I opened it to find a lot of fries, maybe five medium fries. He told me to put all the fries in the paper bag."This is so unhealthy and I love it." He said, glancing at me.

"What are you talking about?" I asked, laughing.

He just snickered as he focused on his driving but the atmosphere quickly changed."I am such a coward, right?" Mark asked with a serious tone.

I didn't thought he would bring this up when we are having this fun."I.." I paused then stared outside of the window."..don't think so."

"Liar." He said.

I smiled at him as I grabbed a fries to his mouth. He opened his mouth and ate it, almost biting my fingers."Why are you even thinking about those? Let's forget about them." I said.

"All I remember was you, yelling at me last time." He said, the corner of his mouth raising.

I shook my head."That was like a long, long time ago." I replied while eating my burger. I carefully ate it to not let anything fall on the floor."I even forgot about it."

"Like, three weeks ago?"

"That's like almost a month. So, it really was a long time ago."

"I guess." Mark shrugged.

"Were you only thinking about those?"

"No.."

I pressed my lip into a thin line and opened it,"So, you are not going to talk about how you just left me that day with her?" I asked, knitting my eyebrows together.

Mark suddenly stopped the car on the side of the road."Okay, what are we talking about again?" He asked.

"Who brought up the past?" I asked him, raising an eyebrow. He let out a breath, then looked outside of the window.

"You should've understand the situation." He told me as his eyes went to the road, again."You know that I needed to go."

My eyes were on the road as well, avoiding eye contact. He is right, I should just keep my mouth shut. I heard him sigh,"I am sorry."

"Yeah, me too." I said, smiling as I turned the radio on. He reached for my hand to probably comfort, then smiled."Let's listen to the radio."

Not too long, we finally reached a park where you rarely see a single person. Trees and plants are everywhere and,"It's peaceful here." I stated.

"That's why I wanted you to come here." Mark said while grabbing something behind his car. I stood behind me as I wonder what is he looking for."You should find a nice spot or where you want to go while I find it."

"What is it?"

"Don't worry, I won't disappear." He said as he pushed me, slightly.

I nodded then, walked away with the foods while searching for a nice spot. I placed the foods on a table which is near a fence. It's crazy but when I looked at the fence, it's a dead end.

"That's pretty high." I mumbled while putting the foods or let's say our so healthy meal. Note the sarcasm. A cold thing touched my neck which made me gasped."What?"

It was a necklace."Do you like it?" He asked me as he pushed the lock of the necklace behind me. I nodded, smiling ear to ear."I want you to have this necklace..."

"What? So, I could always remember you?" I asked, giggling before turning around to face him.

Mark grinned."Probably."

"Oh, yeah." I replied as I wrapped my arms around his waist and resting my head on his chest. He rested his chin on my head while hugging me back."It's pretty selfish you know. I don't have anything to give."

He slowly caressed my hair with his fingers."You don't need to." Mark whispered. I let go of him and took a ring from my finger."What are you doing?" He asked me.

"I am giving you this." I said, taking his hand to my face then tried the ring to his index finger, thumb, and the pinky finger. I smiled."There you go."

Mark was staring at it and then looked at me." I want to kiss you." He told me, smiling. I smiled as he leaned for a kiss."You taste like fries."

"What did you expect?" I asked him then laughed.

"Maybe, something sweet. Not salty." Mark replied as we sat across each other. I laughed then touched the necklace lying on my chest before grabbing my burger."You do really like the necklace."

I nodded."Of course, my boyfriend gave it to me." I said then took a bite of my burger. Saying that he is my boyfriend when he is already engaged feels weird but I shook the thought off my head. I realized that Mark was staring at me."What is it?"

"You look so beautiful, that's all."
