Chapter 14.......Cracks In History

I was in such a wonderful mood as I walked into The Abby centre that afternoon. So much so that I had decided that for today anyways I was going to like Wills latests henchman or my personal babysitter as Will liked to call him.

"Hayden you know what I think today needs after were done here?" I beamed at him.

"No Miss what's that." Hayden smiled back.

"First off we had this discussion the other night. If you have to around Will whatever but call me by my name otherwise. You make me feel like the crazy cat lady just short her kit." I rolled my head back and spun in a circle and letting my arms fall free basking in the sun as we walked. "Nope a milkshake and your going to have one and were both not going to tell Will."

Hayden just laughed. "Why do you hate me so. Will would have me ten feet under if I let you have one and you know it."

Nothing was going to bring me down today. Not even the fact I craved everything that I was not aloud and couldn't stand Ava's list was of no concern. My hormones must have been in perfect alignment because I didn't care that Will was returning home tomorrow, I had a glorious two weeks and loved every minute of it. The man needs to go away on more business trips. Not having to deal with each other was doing wonders for our relationship.

I was sitting on the patients bed leaning against the wall waiting on doctor nearly taking a nap. It was crazy how unbelievably tired I constantly was. It was like I was constantly chasing the sand man but could never quite catch him long enough. When a doctor finally did come in he wasn't my normal doctor.

"Hello Dee my name is Dr. Hamilton and I will be taking over your case from this point." Placing my folder down he grabbed the gel for the ultra sound. "Can you lift your shirt and we will begin the ultra sound.

Fuck that was all I could think as I started to scramble up and off the table. Where was Will when I needed him. "Has anyone talked to Will about this. Maybe we should reschedule and wait for him,"

Dr. Hamilton and his private nurse exchanged confused glances before a slow smile spread across the doctors face, "Nobodies told you guys yet. Well I have a wonderful surprise for you. Let's start the ultra sound and I'll show you."

Cautiously I laid back down while the nurse spread the jelly across my admin. Slowly the doctor moved the scanner across my belly until the image of the baby appeared and I could hear the heartbeat strong and true.

"So there is your baby on the monitor and the heartbeat sounds strong. Hear we will just snap a 3D picture as Will requested." Slowly he slid his hand a little to the right and the monitor turned fuzzy for a moment before picking up on a second image.

"That's....that's ..." More often that not now a days my brain didn't seem to function at all with my mouth.

"That is your second healthy baby. I have taken over your case as I specialize in multiple birth babies. Congratulations you and Will are having twins." I was speechless as he snapped a 3D picture of that baby and angled the scanner so both babies came into view at the same time.

Snapping one last 3D picture of the two together. "When we withdrew the amniotic fluid to test for paternity and any abnormality indicators we notice some of your levels were quite high which usually is an indicator of multiple fetus. Both are extremely healthy and developing exactly as should be expected."

"Does Will know?" Twins...holly shit twins.

"No we were expecting him to attend today with you." Like a fool I just shook my head.
