Chapter 25 ........Relinquish

While what I had witnessed between Will and the nurse had been gut reaching as it crushed any lingering hope that there was something between Will and I. It had also been a blessing in disguise. It forced me to wake up and to stop living in fairy tale land and face reality. It allowed me to be to be honest with myself and let go of my misguided attempts to see things the way I wanted to see them.

It had also forced me to take the final step and free fall back into my life. Within a mater of weeks I had found a place within thirty to fourth minutes of Wills so the drive to exchange the kids would be reasonable. It was no where near the custom that we had grown close to with Will but it was ours. I had found a cute four bedroom bungalow with a decent sized fenced in yard. It was perfect for a growing family. After the inspection I used some of the money Will had paid me for the down deposit. With an immediate possession date since the current owners had already moved out I found myself rushing to pack and leave Wills.

I didn't really want to admit it but Will seemed relieved I finally was moving. I had honestly thought tho on the day we moved he would say goodbye. Well I guess he did just not the way I had expected. That morning he had hugged the girls goodbye and casually waved goodbye barley looking at me. His last words to me were, "If I don't catch you at the hospital I'll call you sometime this week." That's how things were between us now. Just two separated parents sharing custody of their children.

It was difficult when I first sat the girls down to tell them we were moving yet again. Thankfully Will had offered to keep paying for their drivers as well as their schooling. Which was a big load off since there was no way I could afford it. There was no way I could make them understand but I answered their question the best I could. Same as my parents when I told them. All I could say was that Will and I couldn't make it work.

As far as my working situation I lucked out and happened to return to my old advertising firm at the perfect time. My position had been filled at the front desk but Romeo's assistant had just given notice. Her husband had been transferred to some place I didn't give two craps about so she was forced to resign. On the up shot being promoted to her position meant a substantial bump in pay. Yes things were slowly starting to go my way.

Here I was on the verge of starting my new life.
