Stevie's POV
I stood in front of the mirror in mine and Lindsey's room. I was trying to find something lovely to wear. I had to look my best when going out with all the guys. Actually I would have rather gone out with Chris but I simply didn't want to fight with Catherine again. She had been in the studio with us only for a couple of hours and I already felt so tired. How was I supposed to manage her for a few months? I guessed I had to at least try to act nice or ignore her. Also I didn't want to get into fight with Christine. She seemed to like that redhead. They were both British, tall, extremely gorgeous and they both loved wine. I realised I was jealous of Cat. It all felt so unfair, she marched into the studio and practically stole my best friend, my beautiful Chris, with just a few minutes.
I noticed that clock showed 9.45 p.m. which meant they had already gone out. I wondered what they were doing. Was Christine laughing over something that Catherine had said? Was she clinking wine glasses with her? Were they checking out guys at the bar and making fun of them? I felt like going insane. I had to get out of the room. I threw on a simple white top and black maxi skirt. I didn't care anymore.
I ran down the stairs to the living room just to find Mick, Lindsey and John already waiting.
Lindsey kissed me on my lips. "Are you ready to go, love?"
"Mmmm yeah, if you kiss me one more time." I gave him my brightest smile. He did kiss me again, more than once. He looked handsome in his dark brown leather jacket.
"Okay, I guess I'm all good and ready to party."
We heard the knock on the door. Others had arrived. When Lindsey got engaged in a conversation with Aaron, Julius walked over to me and told me I looked absolutely beautiful. I had a bad gut feeling that he was falling for me, so I thought it would be better if I acted extremely friendly. I didn't want to send wrong signals to the guy. I loved Lindsey and wasn't going to cheat on him.
We settled for a little bar not far from our place which guys had grown to love during our stay there.
Lindsey's POV
Acker North was such a good company. I would never have thought it would be so much fun with those guys. I had communicated a lot to Aaron and Trevo during the dayr. They seemed to be my type of people. We took them to a bar called The Rocker's Grave which was only 20 minutes away from our houses if to go on foot. The walk there was quite pleasant. Stevie looked beautiful in her lovely top and skirt, her sandy curls falling free on her shoulders, though it seemed she wasn't in her best mood. I didn't quite get why she didn't want to join Christine and Catherine but I didn't want to make her feel worse with my questions, so I kept quiet. We were going through some difficult times in our relationship but we were trying to get over it and I didn't want to make it worse. All the stress with joining the band, drugs, alcohol and pressure was taking its toll on us.
We settled for the corner seats in The Rocker's Grave. All black leather. We ordered our drinks. I took cognac. Stevie sat next to me and she was talking to Julius most of the time. Julius and Catherine were the only ones I hadn't really spoken to much. Julius seemed to be quite cheesy. The more I drank, the more it seemed he was hitting on Stevie and it seemed that she didn't mind it at all. It made me quite angry but I didn't say anything at first as I didn't want to look like a jealous jerk.
The time passed and everyone got more drunk. Suddenly Thomas took out a deck of cards. "Hey, let's play poker or strip poker."
"What? Strip poker? It's only guys here," John mumbled. He was so drunk, he could barely hold his eyes open.
"Well, Stevie's a girl." Thomas looked at Stevie.
"Oh, no way, I'm not gonna play strip poker with a bunch of guys in a crowded bar." Stevie threw her hands up and let out a giggle. She was also really drunk.
