Okay! In my defense, I had absoloutely no clue how to calm him down and... I don't know why I did it, but it was happening and I couldn't stop it now.

Alexander did the most absurd, unimaginable thing ever; he kissed back. It felt so right, but so wrong at the same time. I pulled back slowly, and placed a hand on his chest.

"Aaron... I... I don't know what to say." I was also at a loss for words. Something to say... Words fail. "I-I'm sorry... I don't know what came over me..." Alexander nodded, a slightly hurt look flickering in his eyes.

"It's fine. Great, actually..."

Another strike of thunder pulled us away from this moment, Alexander leaning closer to me. "I'm here Alex, just stay calm. It's just a bit of rain." Alexander wrapped his arms around me. I'm not used to human contact, so this, of course, surprised me.
I hesitantly retightened my grip on Alexander.

"I'll take care of you, just like you do for me, you promised to take care of me, I pledge that I will always be by your side. Sweetheart, don't worry." I didn't realize what had just came out of my mouth. Why would I do something like that? Why would I say something like that?

I decided to completely forget about the words and the pet name that just came out of my mouth as I kissed Alexander's forehead. If keeping him safe meant that I would have to let him get closer to me, then so be it. Alexander started muttering names, to which, if I remember correctly, were family members who he lost in the hurricane. I just rubbed his shoulder in attempt to keep him as calm as possible.

"Alexander, I promise it's okay, I won't let anyone or anything hurt you. I swear I'll keep you safe." This is going to be a long ass night, but it'll be rightfully spent with someone who I lov- like! Like! I like my best friend Alexander!

~Next Day~

Alexander had fallen asleep in my arms on the floor; I slept in the same place. My eyes fluttered open and I groaned in annoyance of the uncomfortable position.

"Good morning Aaron." I flinched, almost screaming but resisting.

"Hey, hey, what's wrong?" I looked at Alexander hesitantly. "I... I'm sorry, he used to wake up... He used to... N-nevermind." I almost explained my past abuse but again, resisted.

"Who?" I shook my head. "You wouldn't care.." I convinced myself aloud. Alexander placed a hand on my cheek. "Try me." I nodded hesitantly.

"My parents both passed away very soon after my birth, and I had no other family, so at that point, I had been resorted to foster care. I was given to one family, the parents were extremely abusive and I fell right into their care. They had a boy, other than me and a little girl. Kayla and Jonathan. I'm sorry; you're losing interest."

I looked away, but Alexander met my eyes again. "No, I'm not, keep talking." I nodded hesitantly once again. "I uh...I was woken up abrupty a lot, and so now when people wake me up, I tend to freak out." Alexander nodded.

"That would explain why you flinch everytime I dare to raise my voice with you." Alexander caressed my face, making my face turn bright red. "I promise I'll be more careful from now on."

I had to get out of this situation. "Well enough about me, how are you feeling, after your panic attack last night?" Alexander gulped. "I'm fine. I, of course, I had... Major flashbacks last night. I apologize that you had to see that." I shook my head. "I'm sorry for kissing you. I was really out of line, I know-" Alexander placed a finger to my lips.

"You weren't out of line at all. If anything, I wish I could kiss you and so much more, but you... You have a boyfriend. We can't do anything more than we already have, I'm sorry if you feel uncomfortable." I shook my head.
